At 20 minutes 'Jen' debated whether to use her scholar to hire a monk, but decided not to risk losing her scholar to the plague by putting him back in the cup, and did nothing instead. I almost went frantic trying to communicate telepathically that this was a BAD idea. If she had used the scholar, then both the scholar and the newly hired monk would go into the cup. But what's the worst that could happen? The monk could die of plague. (She is no worse off than when she started.) The scholar could die of plague. (But then she has a monk instead.) Neither could die of plague. (She has gained a monk.)

I've just carried on watching, and at 29 minutes she did it again! AND she left two monks sitting unused who could have done really useful stuff. What is the matter with 'Jen'? Using the scholar to hire another monk and then using the two monks somewhere is NO BIG RISK. The worst that can happen is losing a monk. Hiring a new monk AND doing other stuff is totally worth the risk! I don't think my blood pressure can stand much more of this. I'm going to have to go and lie down quietly with a paper bag over my head...

P.S. It says something for the quality of these videos that I really feel I am at the table watching what's going on and I can't understand it when I say to Rahdo "no, don't do that" and he can't hear me. Great video. Great looking game, Why oh why is it not available in the UK?

I wish I knew about the TMG English version kickstarter before I had someone lug me back a copy from Essen BUT I'm looking at it as a silver lining to improve on my German :)

I think knights and monks synergize together well. By having more knights, Jen could have taken 2-3 more actions per turn utilizing the monks

Note for the all english version coming out they have fixed the bath house now When drawing from the bag, draw 2, put one back. This is separate and after your normal bag draw.

Can you use a core character - one with the player color - at the Rathaus or can you only use characters acquired in the game at that location?

randomfleming nope core characters can never leave your possession, so no rathaus for them! :)

Thank you for responding! Second question: if a pilgrimage occurs, does that prevent putting your already owned monks to work or does it just prevent hiring NEW monks for your team? (Jen's monks stayed in the cup so I didn't know how the pilgrimage affects already owned monks).

11:45 I know that normally there are two goods on the road you just traveled. Is there suppose to be two on that road or is there not because you only have 2 players?

Just want to be sure, at 4:50, or thereabouts, you said that the guild houses will be worth nothing unless you move up to the 2 on the bottom track on the main board. I thought everything was worth 1 point as a minimum? You said that was the case with income when it came up as an event. Does that also count for the citizens and the guild houses, and everything else?
