Getting it right is consistent, entertaining attacking football, a spirit of togetherness and positivity within the squad and fans, a title challenge - top 6 finish and good cup runs with perhaps a trophy but at least a final. We are not a million miles away 💙
@marcusjames446615 күн бұрын
This season we have had entertaining, attacking football with a possible 6/7th place on the cards. Two great cup runs (final and semi) and a spirit of team togetherness (except that penalty). It's just the consistency and connection to the fans we are lacking. Not far away at all!

It’s so refreshing to see some Chelsea fans with a level head. These players need time to gel, and the season we’ve had is not at all a failure in terms of the current project. Sure it can be frustrating, especially with how much we won under Roman, but I think once these owners, staff and board genuinely settle in we’ll be challenging again. Up the Chels 🔵

@@tikemyson5627 You’re a bonehead if you think these owners are selling Palmer. You realize we’ve bought these kids in case we’re dealt a transfer ban/points deduction? That’s because of what Roman’s done. Not the new owners. They’re the ones dealing with what Roman’s left behind, have to sell players to balance the books and turn a profit. If I was you, I’d be happy these owners have bought players that can improve, on long contracts and minimal wages… Unless you’d like everyone who abandoned the club last year back? No Champions League, some trouble at the club and every single one of them left. News flash: those players never rated the club. But yeah, I’m clueless. Touch wood kid.

@@iannnCFC if 100m offer for palmer comes in these owners are taking it 100% there model is to make profit for blueco simple as that Roman never left any financial issues for the club wrote off 1.5 billion of debt and Chelsea made the most money from selling players during Roman era it’s no coincidence that we are hearing about these ffp problems AFTER these new owners spent a BILLION but I guess the P.R is working on you, we dropped lower and lower in terms of quality all over the club since new owners came from players to medical staff to directors to social media admin, even egbali done a interview saying the Brighton model is an ideal model for football being a mid table profitable club he said that with his own mouth and feliciono said building business value is more important then wining or loser in the field but you believe what you want. Im gonna provide a much needed perspective here. Imagine how this looks like, not from a chelsea fan who has enjoyed success for so long now, but from the perspective of someone who is witnessing outsiders come into the hardest league in world football. These people, hate them or not, set out to build a premier league team almost totally from scratch. They did it…. They built a currently-mid-table team that is actively competing at premier league level. They did that and nobody ever says that. All they can see is that they took Chelsea, a silverware side, and they caused it to go down on the ranks. Sure, that’s true. But they freaking built a PL team dudes!

No point rushing anybody back from injury at this stage. Probably got £200m at least sitting on the treatment table. Mudryk Nkunku Palmer Caiseido Enzo Lavia Gusto De ligt Fofana James Something like this we should be aiming for next season. -If Fofana comes back on track then we only need on CB otherwise 2 and let our own go:Silva + (Disasi or Badi). -For the midfield we have Gallagher, Chukuwmeka and caisedi that will compete for spots, but I feel we need one more clear cdm, but no fully developed star. -In the attack we are maxed out with potential and we have good lads on the bench, noni, nico and sterling but what's lacking is a true backup for Nkunku if he gets injured next season. Sooo a baller like Openda could be good as backup or otherwise a very young baller that will learn from Nkunku and play when the availability is there.

Despite the setbacks so far with BlueCo / Clearlake / Boehly, they know how to run a profitable professional sports team. Although its a different sport with a different type of attraction across the world, the Dodgers are a successfully run baseball club. I have a feeling that this initial heavy investment into new players (ie. Caicedo, Enzo, Lavia, etc.) will be countered by future success at mutliple levels. You heard it here first, Chelsea FC will use its pedigree of Cobham to help market / consult up and coming American soccer academies. Dont be too shocked if Chelsea start getting paid consulting fees for youth coaches and directors from MLS clubs.

A bad thought. Could our injured players be faining "pain"? If they sit on the sidelines they get paid for doing nothing. They don't have to face the pressure of "playing well". If they "stay injured" would be better than showing the world they got benched. These are all very young players and maybe that would be less stressful for them.
