For anyone that has trouble avoiding these wepaons: Just do a stationary jumping attack right before the axes start to spin. It's a really realiable counter.

When the axes start spinning, just dodge into them and you'll take basically no damage. It's really quick and super easy as well, plus once they finish they're like a block away from yoy, so you usually can prepare for the next ash of war spam they inevitably do

I've been trying to perfect a back roll, followed by a forward right roll. Usually leaves enough time to catch them between spins. The distance between you vs player is tricky though. Or you can jump over their head. I haven't tried stationary jump attack though. I imagine it probably works like someone casting phantom slash way too close and they buzz right past.

Dodging into it is also pretty free, they don’t have the turn radius to come back around so they just fly off in a line

​@EinSilverRose or if it does they're very toned down, like heavily. Or maybe there could be some other system to it, like you could only use every few seconds to limit the usage. Cuz then some ashes of war could have a huge fp cost but also a huge time cost, so they could be pretty strong but you could only really use it a few times a fight, and other ones could be quite weak or spammable, but be able to be used really quickly, like half a second recharge time. Smth like that could help out a little I think

I’ve learned to not panic when I see these. That’s how they get you. Best course of action is to start swinging the second you see them charge it up. They’ll always get staggered before they spin.

Ok so for real people and not these ai in the game. You have 2 options. 1 have a weapon with high poise damage and just slap them if they do the blink into your face, this weapon art has like no poise. Option 2, just roll past it as it comes towards you. I love these but they’re not that good. Especially live when someone tries to pull them out against me cause it absolutely does nothing.

I pray that froms next game can explore the possibilities of seamless cooperation and pvp. Because of how incredible and expansively immersive the mod is on both fronts and it just simply makes the game infinitely more fun than without the mod plus Miyazaki even acknowledging the mod and saying he likes it does bring hope (and essentially cope) that it can be a real thing without it having to be a mod.

I found the dual axe moveset to really take away from the overall potential of this weapon, offhand poke halberd fixes it up quite a bit. Love the goofy direction changes you can do while free aiming the weapon art, quickly became one of my favorite dlc weapons.

Well timed and positioned L2 spam, meant to roll catch or evade attacks. On L2 it's an dodge, in this vid Oro uses it to evade attacks to the side, into blind spot of the opponent and roll catches multiples times. If you personally think it's a mere L2 spam (akin to Rivers of Blood), I ask you to try it yourself in PVP. After a very humbling experience you'll realize it's not only an L2 spam, but a lot of skill involved

Elden Ring and L2 are a very cancerous combo, the game has so many strong and spammable skills it's unbelievable. ROB, Moonveil, Blasphemous Blade, all types of crap. And it's not like this things are that bad, the problem is how strong they are even in absolutely skill-less player's hands, simply L2 spam to win. That's why I'm usually not very interested in PVP as I'm in PVE, due to PVP being very cancerous and unbalanced. But I'm kinda hopeful for newer patches, seeing how a lot of meta weapons have been nerfed and new additions to PVP. I really hope bullshit like Impenetrable Thorns gets nerfed to the ground though, that shit is another level of BS

It's more like 50/45/50. He's using Millicent Prothesis, which adds 5 Dexterity. As for the rest of the build, seems like Vagabond starting class. So, 9 (starting level)+45 (Vigor)+18 (Mind)+19 (Endurance)+36 (Strength)+32 (Dexterity)+41 (Faith). Adds up to 200 exactly.
