I've been using your deathblight shotel build for my invasions and it's so good to tree them all. Literally nobody plays eclipse shotel and death lightning that I'm very successful invading with it.

It also becomes more and more effective the lower the level you invade with it. It's not full twink-able, because it has high requirements (a good thing, honestly), but an SL60 build with those shotels is kind of sick.

@@monsieurdorgat6864 Problem being arcane scales up with immunity and vitality so until the bleed meta changes a bit, it won't be as effective past that level threshold. I've been staying at about sl60 just to have the most connectivity with invasions. It's not really useful in duels as you'd want a more damage focused build in 1v1's. Good part about it is that its a one and done status effect. If you can pop it, it's over, so the goal to spam it becomes rather easy instead of focusing on damage or some other playstyle. Turtle players have it the worst in this regard. Although it's slightly a twink build its all fair. No real shenanigans, only that's it's so rare to go against, many aren't prepared at all.

@@gradualpull2171 Which is still pretty good! Lord knows now more than ever we need counters to turtles. I guess fewer new players feel the need to turtle, since roll spamming and BHS spam is so effective in these games. Still, all the more reason you need an instant-kill solution as an invader. The arcane scaling is a good point, and it's even worse for badly scaled-down phantoms since they'll have lots of bleed proc and resistance to deathblight... oof. There really is no counter to summoned twinks, eh? I kind of just wish they'd buff the horn charms. I know a lot of people want a bleed nerf, but I think making the horn charms really good would fulfill the same purpose but would do a good job of specifically countering whatever build ends up being meta-i.e., the build you see most often.

I use that with the Katrina sleep sword buffed in the other hand with deathblight shotel the sleep-death build is low-key the most op build in elden ring I'm 107-9 in duels with that build alone

Honestly I think the best way to address BHS is to make it consume health on use similar to bloody slash and sepuku. Something like 3-5% health per use. This way, spamming BHS rapidly diminished both your health and FP so you’re encouraged to use it more tactically. This also means if you don’t want to drain both your flasks, quickstep now has a role in the meta as an increase to I-frames over dodging but giving your crimson flasks more longevity over BHS. Knowing FromSoft though they’ll buff BHS next patch. Feels bad man.

It's not the spells that have poise, it's Oroboro's Physique. It gives him a short period of lots of poise. It only really works because his opponents are really dumb and inattentive, since the counter would simply be to not rush him for 15 seconds. It's honestly pretty hard to stack poise on a pure caster until you surpass meta levels. At post-meta levels, like 150+, then yeah you can add poise to everything.

He sometimes mixes up the other one, but one of his favorites is Crimsonwhorl Bubbletear, which causes you to heal from non-physical damage (very useful when idiots are trying to spam you down with spells). Both are powerful but extremely short-lived effects. They're easily countered by having a second brain cell.

Duel Vykes war spear is disgustingly broken unfortunately. A shame, as the rest of the madness stuff is cool and pretty balanced. (as for why its broken, Madness is by far the best status effect, due to it STUNNING, doing damage AND destroying FP. it also stuns you THROUGH s, unlike bleed and frost, meaning you literally cant avoid it.)
