This is absolutely beautiful but I can't help but think about how the lyrics fit WWX so much. He saw Lan Zhan as a person he wanted to become friends with and he was unsure of their friendship but one day he realized he loved Lan Zan as more than a person he looked up to or a friend. Even so it does fit Lan Zhan too because Lan Zhan knew what he felt but he buried those feelings. Great job!

I finished watching The Untamed two weeks ago and can't stop thinking and crying about it, rewatching parts of it and also watching and rewatching videos like this. I actually have started watching another (this time contemporary) Chinese fantasy series which is quite interesting, but that is not stopping me from all of the above. That and reading comments like yours makes me a bit apprehensive about the coming years 😅.

IDK if this is probably a reason or not, but here goes nothing. What if after wwx returned back from burial mounds, he truly believed in lan wangji. He was aware himself that lwj could make him leave the path of diabolism. And that is why he never told lwj the truth. He was afraid lwj would help him and fall into his messy life and revenge plan. That is why he purposely tried to make lwj believe that he knew nothing and he won't change for anything. He just did not want to involve lwj. Remember the scenes where wwx tells 'our relation only got worse every time we parted' mainly because he pushed lwj even further every time and lwj pushed himself onto wwx everytime even harder. That is why wwx at the end only asked to believe in him. Like 'believe in me, and I'll tell you the truth after this complex life of mine is over'. Wwx could have returned to lwj instead if killing himself, but maybe he thought lwj would only be disgusted by him and his intentions because he had killed jzx, jyl and many other people. He felt is was no use explaining lwj since all he did this for were already gone.** Just a theory. **
