I know it's difficult, but i believe it's important we tell our children and grand children about these people. Their music should and must be passed to generation on born. I am quite glad internet is a very good tool in doing this but we need to honestly. When dad of blessed memory used to play Ayinla omowura, yussuf olatunji, etc i used to get bored until few years back i decided to listen to the lyrics, I found that they are nothing but genius. We need to spread, preserve these OUR music

I remember this song from around the mid-80s, one of our neighbours was a retired Army driver (Baba Tawa) in Yaba and he used to drink a lot. When he is inebriated he will be dancing in front of his house to this song, I hated the song then 'cos couldn't hear or understand what the lyrics were, all I could hear was "...ki social clu, Ni ilu Oshogbo". Funny enough the chorus used to ring in my head I after some time I didn't mind, in fact I liked it gradually.

Baba must rest in peace, if his children can unite together, and reach for better understanding. They should know that their father has too much enemies, for that reason alone, they should put their feet on ground and see that any legacy that Baba left behind they ensure that it does not perish or die. There senior brother Alh. Ganiu himself must as well, has well and cleared understanding, it is his legitimate right and duty to bring his siblings together and exhornorate them with word of love that can bring everlasting peace that will lead the family to move ahead together.

@oxossiguerreiro These songs are about the people who are positive in Oshogbo. Osogbo is one of the towns in Nigeria where the Orisha called "Oshun Oshogbo" is located, there are many Orishas in Yorubaland Oshun Oshogbo is only one of them. This song is about the people who live happily in Oshogbo and help each other, they also gave the singer money to sing for them..The singer is a muslim but his father was a singer and a big Orisha priest so the Orishas....

Come what mean, Yoruba has lost the great APALA Meastro. It is well understood that we shall all die, but Alh. Aruna Ishola Bello died so soon. At the age he surppose to start ripping his fruit of labour. Infact, there's noday I played any of his records, that I did not wept. This prompt me to everyday criticise Alh. Musiliu Aruna Ishola his son, for not concentrating in the trend of his father's music. I have once told him when the opportunity of meeting together came, that was about 5 years ago. I advised him that he should continue in the APALA system of play that his late left behind. More so, that, his father's fans are still so much, and they still very much around, so he should let them continue enjoying there lives with the music. Luckily for him , he has opportunity to acquire latest music instruments, of which shall improve the quality of his APA LA music. By now APALA music must have gained more ground in the circle of music industries beyond Nigeria. I, hereby this message appeal to Alh. Musiliu to have a deep rethink to my advice. God bless all the readers of this msg.

Don,t you know Oshogbo' the capital of Oun state, state of gov. Aregbesola. Go there and ask for Promo social club, surely you'll find someone that will help to find at least a still living member of the club. Baba 'Gani agba, the APA LA Legendary.
