The film’s ending was how Kate broke Esther’s (Lina’s) neck and Esther (Lina) sunk. But there was a alternate ending at first. Where Max and Kate just escaped from Esther (Lina). And Esther (Lina) pretended to be a little girl again and plan was successful. I think the alternate ending was much cooler because it could give a chance to make a sequel of this film.

I mean towards the end she also survived falling from the glass house and landing in shards of glass and movies have shown characters survive multiple gunshots and crazy things so I dont think it would be too farfetched

i came here cuz this happened in real life in the philippines. An adopted killed two of the siblings which are the children of the parents who adopted her.. it was sad and painful at the same time and the reason of killing was also envy. The case is called, the maguad siblings murder case. they died just this december.

Perfect example of terrible parents, both of them. The husband seems like he's doped up or on Xanax all the time. The wife is emotionally out of control, since the beginning, and the poor deaf girl goes through so much trauma witnessing all the evil things the disgusting orphan-girl does. Justice is served up like a long-awaited dessert in the end, however, and how sweet that justice is!

It’s freaky that there is a somewhat similar story in real life to this. An Indiana couple at the time Michael & Kristine Barnett adopted some Ukrainian girl who was supposedly 8 but turned out to actually be 22, and actually tried murdering them on multiple occasions. Scary stuff
