Helpful hint. If you double the Sausage mixture amount you can shovel half of it in your mouth while mixing in the pecorino and mozzarella cheese mixture and still have enough to stuff the shells.

We talked about my grandmother going to Naples Italy in 1959.This isn’t common in my family so I want to thank you for your videos. Your art and love for it brought my family closer together today. “ Teach the kids to do this and they will be so happy.” One of the things that the modern generation lacks is the skills to cook. I am certainly glad that my grandmother took the time to teach me to cook. She said to me one time, in her words, “ You a lot of good ideas about cooking.” I’ve never forgotten

One of the problems the Millenials have is a detachment from family and an inability to connect with people on an emotional level. Their reality is in the internet and the social media. Their ( our? ) generation somehow has neglected our responsibility to teach them to connect with their roots and, thus, family. Food is so important in our lives. It's nurturing on a physical and equally important on an emotional level. A grandmother teaching her grandchildren to cook and to share the heirloom recipes and techniques creates a sense of belonging and a sense of identity. EXTREMELY important for the child!! So to all who read this post..please take a coupe week-end days per month and take the kids' phones and computers away and bring your grandchildren into your kitchen and teach them to cook!!! Take care of their physical needs and just as important, nurture their souls!!

I am 43. Growing up my mum was a superb cook but she never forced us kids to cook. and I was a fussy eater. I have now spent many years as a chef since my 20s. I could cook about 17yrs old but should have learned SO much sooner. All it takes in my opinion is to ensure your child can cook 5 meals consistently well. . Before they turn 15 or 16. Properly. Its easy and takes no time to learn. I HATE this idea that it is acceptable to let your kid go to University and they cant even cook a basic meal. IT IS UNBELIEVABLY DUMB!

@Bo Zo I'm with you on this one! A friend and I were talking a few days ago. She complimented me on a dish I had prepared. I told her that I have always enjoyed cooking but the fact is I enjoy feeding people I love. It's about nurturing..

Randy Watts Oh heavens! I don't mind cooking in the least! If I were going to make this for company, I would find a way to do at least some of the work ahead of time. Apart from that, I don't mind cooking at all. On the other hand, housework…that's another story. That's why I pay somebody to do that, but at the risk of sounding immodest, I'll eat my own cooking before a lot of other people's. No big secret: just find good recipes, like this one. And I agree. Most recipes that are worth making are a lot of work. If you're the kind of cook who insists on making everything from scratch, you need to log some time in the kitchen. Anyone looking for me can usually find me in my kitchen at 4:30 PM Eastern standard time. My husband did the groceries today, and he was able to find some wonderful hot Italian sausage! Furthermore, I intend to make my own tomato sauce for this. Sometimes, when I see recipes on KZbin, I am tempted to tweak them a bit. On principle, however, I will follow a recipe to the latter the first time I make it. I have a strong feeling that I will not be touching this recipe at all! I will follow it to the letter, and I'm willing to bet you anything that I won't change a thing! I'll keep you posted.

My mother used to say, if you want to eat good food, you gotta make it yourself. The end result is worth the work. We as kids always ate good homemade meals, made with love by mom and grandma.
@rwatts21554 жыл бұрын
@@rosannacasella774 My grandpa used to say that my grandmother, his wife, could take a handful of nothing and make a feast fit for a king. My grandma was an awesome cook. My mother was a good cook but was an awesome baker. We weren't rich but we always ate like kings!! I've always surrounded myself with food people because I have found that people who love great food also love people and life.
@adelefarough51234 жыл бұрын
Randy Watts: We weren't well off either, and neither were my grandparents on both sides. Nevertheless, both of my grandmothers could put together a superb meal. And their baking! OMG! in our home, everything is made from scratch. We don't like processed food at all. Also, we are trying to eat healthy. The only way to do that is to cook from scratch, because if not, you don't know what's in it.
