The Little Bull is a very moving film. Especially if you're a kid watching it. An ending as great as they get.

Bravo Mr Welles, marvelous storyteller. There will never be as great a dramatist or conveyor of magic as you.

Orson Bean, Gore Vidal, Truman Capote, he and others; today, there is a dearth of elegant raconteurs and a far emptier world for it.

Orson later changed his views on bullfighting in his later life :)
For surely there is no sight in this world more beautiful than a lone man, fighting single handedly, a half a ton of angry pot roast.

I know this from when I was a child; from a book. I can see illustrations faintly in my memory.

A folk tale or a true story? It really doesn’t matter all that much for when Orson Wells tells a story, it is fascinating whatever it’s outcome.

I wonder about the Hippopotamus. They are fierce as can be. I don't think my question will ever be answered but I think an adult Hippo might indeed vanquish a fighting bull

Loved this story even more than the one of Ferdinand that I read as a child. 🙏

I feel like he planned it out to say that a bullfight takes 15 min, and the story told took almost exactly 15 to tell.

"I'm not sure what to believe with Welles, ha! " "great story tho, but I kinda think ol Orson was taking a little break from one of his wine commercials to spin this yarn"

Welles didn't need to fight any bulls, he'd simply talk to the beast, enthrall it, calm it down. Bulls listened to Welles.

@@Matt_19-89 You are as full of yourself as Orson. He´s just telling a tale. But you bought it completely.
