I love it when ElementMan dies before they can even change their element. The style on display is legendary. Killing the bosses with *exactly* enough to beat them - no overkill or going over - shows mastery of the game.

There were so many combinations and customizable options in this series, it's amazing how much versatility was available to you especially considering that most of the games in this sub-series were GBA titles. Makes me wish that they'd make a new entry in this sub-series, regardless whether or not it'd be canon. There's so much they could do with it nowadays but that seems unlikely at this point, we're more likely to see a sequel to megaman legends than having another one of these games.

@@Tim7318-3 you just gave me a cool idea, even if I don't have the know how to execute it: an mmo (either browser based or downloadable) where people can create a navi unique to them and battle their way around the Cyber world

Over kill can be fun but you're right. That takes skill to pull off. I love these games, they were a lot of fun.
This game still hold up so well after nearly 15 years.

I still believe it's one of the most brilliant rpg battle systems that is totally original, in great balance of simplicity and depth, made since the 2000s generation. The truth is that the latest devs generations havent been really challenging themselves creatively compared to those devs from the 00s and (90s particularly). They mostly resort to tried formulas and use new gen graphics as a kind of compensation.

It takes a genius to take a plain shooting platformer, and develop from that a whole rpg with such premises, setting, and battle system especially. And they made it work so wonderfully in a simple system, with few buttons, like the gba.

Makes me happy that people are still making Rockman.EXE content in 2020. This series needs a revival. I like platforming but EXE/BN was my favorite Mega Man series of all time (Star Force/Ryuusei unfortunately did not live up to it... it was simultaneously less deep and harder to actually see what was going on, making for far less satisfying combat)
@carlosaugusto98214 жыл бұрын
Yes, it was unfortunate that they forcedly took it to that 3d direction, as if just to show the system's power. And they didnt even bother to revive it for the newer systems, that now have much more powerful 3d tech.

I hate when companies do that... They make something really dumb and because they failed, the whole franchise suffers from that... Like when they failed to turn Castlevania, Megaman and Metroid to 3d (i mean not 1st person like MP). A failure shouldnt be the reason to totally discard the idea of 3d gameplay. The game's particular idea is that is to blame and must be discarded. But no, they gave up the idea of 3d, perhaps just because it wasnt an instant 1st time success like Mario and Zelda turned to 3d... So Capcom totally messed up with the 3d in Starforce, and then just because they failed they had to give up everything? Never consider a reboot of such great concept. That's a bad way of handling things.

I feel you. Like Megaman Legend 3, Megaman Starforce 4, Megaman Generation (I think it was its name), even Megaman Movie... Capcom had to call it off... 😭
