I`m a guitar player and have a stomp kick on the right foot and a tambourine on the left. I would also like that the banks are switchable from left to right stomp so you could decide what you like more, thanks:)

Very interesting product. Can I auto start to record the loop by hitting the drum pad only (without hitting the "Loop" swich)? When I'm playing, I've use to make a drum beat loop only (no guitar in loop). I want to record a few measures of rythm in loop, and then play over it on acoustic guitar. So I have to start by hitting simultanusly both the "Loop" swich and the drum pad (beat trigger), then keep hitting the trigger to record the few bars of rythm, and then hit the "Loop" swich again, to stop recording, what isn't easy when you must be in time (have to use both feet - impossible when standing). I have been using Horse Kick Pro with Boss RC-50 till now, but I'm looking for something new and better. Second question, can I use QUANTUMloop with my Horse Kick Pro as a expression trigger (as QUANTUMexp replacment)?

Thank you for your input. We are able to make some changes to the firmware and have sent suggestions to see what we can do for future updates. As for the HKP being used as the trigger, I tried it out and it does work but for some reason it will double trigger randomly like a flam. Maybe because it's an audio signal?

Sounds great in one cord but, what about playing a 1-4-5 pattern? Seems like a lot of loopers only do one cord unless you have it programed into an iPad. I can't sit down to play, it doesn't allow me to breath properly but, since you tap with either foot when playing, this doesn't seem like a big deal. Nice design...

my problem: - i cannot start a loop with a beat. is that correct? so if the first hit is a kick and the record button at the same time, it will not record this first kick hit for example? :/ - also i dont like that to stop the playback it has to be a double hit! i want this with one hit for easier playing :/ i cannot change these things, right? thanks, matt

Is it possible to start looping with the rhythm first? I mean, with a bass drum stomp and maybe even shaker, and then just play on top of that? One reviewer a year ago found that didn’t work, but maybe it’s been fixed in the firmware?

Yes, it is, but with a small trick actually. The first loop you have to record completely empty and count your beat, on the overdub you can record the drums. You can also try out the firmware version with s short latency, this is also possibel.

@@ortegaguitars Thank you for the very prompt and helpful response! I purchased a QUANTUMLoop today, so will give the firmware with the short latency a try and see if that works for me. I can‘t yet envision laying down an empty loop first. Am I right in assuming that with the short-latency firmware I should first hit the looper button and then, very shortly after, begin stomping out the rhythm? Really looking forward to getting my unit and trying it out.

This could have been designed way better. If the loop button was closer to the stomp side, you could hit the loop button and make a kick drum sound at the same time, but the sound selctor button is in the way. Also who thought it was a great idea to put in a useless electronic Tom drum sound in the stock sounds???? Also the pedal frequently misfires the sounds, like data gets buffered and then it plays on top of the next sound. It’s a great idea but sorely needs updating.

Hello! I'm sorry you're having problems with the QUANTEMloop. It's a software issue on the computer side of things, not your QUANTEMloop. I believe our headquarters have already uploaded the new software for you to download on the website. If not, I will reply back to let you know as soon as they do.

I connect The Quantum USB port, then I switch on the quantum.. Always the same window, the data flash media isn't inisialized. What's wrong?

That is a very valid point, and it's a design flaw of the unit.

Also, please keep in mind that we designed this mainly for guitarist singer-songwriters. Although the second trigger jack is on the right I have seen some use a longer patch cable to have it on the left of the built-in trigger that puts your right foot on the kick sample.

This thing seems pointless, since there are so many much more practical and effective options. 4 years later, since I've never seen one of these in any performance ever ( & I'm a pro musician in NYC, so I see a lot) I'm guessing my summation has already been proven correct.

Agree the bass drum should be the right pedal. I guess you could get a longer patch cable and put on the other side. But still awkward
