I watch 'Stories of Hope' every week with my mother. I'm in my 30's and still single. When Devorah started talking about her experiences and how she understands the struggles of singles, I started crying. My mother looked over at me and asked if I was crying, and I responded, "Yes. For once...I felt seen and heard." Thank you, Hashem for Stories of Hope, Tzipora Grodko and Meaningful Minute...each week, they help fortify my emunah in Hashem and undying hope that my bashert IS out there. It's all about timing.

He is out there!! Everything is perfectly designed by Hashem. I was 37 when I met my husband, and as it turns out he is 10 years younger than I am. While I was in Israel dancing at my friends weddings wondering when I would get married, he was in NY dancing at his friends Bar Mitzvahs 😅 Timing is everything!!!! Btw we do shidduchim if you are interested ❤

This episode just left me saying Buitiful. Devorah hit the nail on the head. The shiduch world is so confusing and it's amazing that so many find that right one so fast. But the ones left behind to find their Mister right, is so challenging. Tzipora thank you for finding this couple. Their message is right on. Hashem knows what we need and can handle. And they are a perfect example of not just being the shleach, but also the perfect example. May Hashem keep on giving them and you koach. And may you be able to keep on using your talents in a way that shines out. As I say, Ze Kaylie Veanvy Hoo.

My favorite message from this episode is that our format of dating actually works. As a civilian (i.e. non professional) shadchan, and as someone who got married as an "older single", I agree that specific individuals sometimes don't know how to be tactful or how to say the right things, but for the most part our system does work, and it makes so much sense. And I 100% agree with the fact that there needs to be one partner who's willing to jump in, because oftentimes one party is terrified to do that, especially as people get older and develop more "attachment" to singlehood (without realizing it!). Thank you for a beautiful episode!

@@k10036 I agree. As we have seen with Tzipora. That she can juggle her career and still have the time for a vacation in England. And I'm confident that if she needs to take off for a few days, she would do so without us noticing. We need to enjoy her amazing work and daven to Hashem. That, just like she is finding ways to give chizuk to klal Yisroel , so too Hashem should give her all that she needs. May we be zoche to see all the good Hashem has for us and all of klal Yisroel.

Great episode! Very stron emuna. Devora i agee with you!! Hashem is yhe shadchan, he created us and will take care of us. But in order to not to take one line out of context and give "permission" to "accept me the way i an" i want to add or specify We dont have to change our personality but we do have to "fix" it, modifu it and give it direction. We are here to work on ourselves and that is the most important thing in a relationship, the humility to know that.
@yitzchakenglard2514
@yitzchakenglard2514 Ай бұрын
@@raquelkirszenbaum926 I agree with you. But Life is like an escalator that's going down and we need to try and move up on it. If we stop we fall back. If you and your partner are not moving in the same direction and at the same pace it won't work period. I believe that is what Devorah meant. Or as her husband said no pain no gain. One always needs to be working on themselves but if you end up with someone who wants to change you and doesn't respect you for who you are and what you need/want.It's a non starter. Think about it. As an example one might appreciate the way you laugh and one might despise it. You might want to change your laugh for them but it would make more sense to find someone who likes you the way you are so you can work on the important thing of life and not be distracted. But nobody is perfect and maybe just maybe if it's not too difficult to change that one thing it might all work out. I remember back in the day (like third grade) playing around with different laughs. And trying to figure out what I liked the best. Today I don't think about it. So the trick is to try and find a partner that shares the same interests and taste as you. Just imagine remodeling the house and he just hates it. That would be a horrible feeling. In simple words life is always give and take. But you need to make sure that you find someone who is going to want to work with you on your journey and not despise the way you are and want to change you. Your partner is meant to support you on your journey. Not push you around on a journey that is not meant for you. I hope this was helpful.

@@raquelkirszenbaum926 I hear you loud and clear. I think I was out of place. I was interpreting and combining what I understood. And I think we both ended up with more or less the same conclusion. As the theme goes in the original Les Miserables. Life is to give,not to take. May you keep on growing in the ways of Hashem. And with Hashems help we shouldn't slip up.
