Lovely thing to watch while curled up with a blanket on a cold winter day. Behold the magnificent icon on the wall behind these gentleman. O come, let us worship and fall down before Him, Christ the King and our God! ☦️

Someone asked about what we can do for the souls of our loved ones who died outside of the Church. The two best things we can do for them are to pray for them and to give alms on their behalf. The akathist to the Holy Martyr Varus can be fruitful as he is an intercessor for those who have died outside of the Church. As for almsgiving the Proverbs tell us "He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again." Almsgiving on behalf of the dead does for them what they are unable to do themselves.

at 1:18:13 it is stated the Latin Priest says "I change this...." Can you give me the RC wording during consecration revealing "I" or the idea the person of the priest rather than the asking for the Holy Spirit to descend and change? Fact checking this and I can not find that the RC priest is responsible for the changing by his "I" by ego or a personal ability.

We will ask Fr. Nathan for clarification the next class. But I believe he is referring to the Pre Vatican 2 Latin change of the Divine Liturgies which removed the prayer to the Holy Spirit. See the link below to see the EO response to the Latin Church. After removing the prayer from the Liturgy, Rome added prayers to the Holy Spirit back in after Vatican 2. classicalchristianity.com/2014/07/11/on-the-words-of-institution-and-the-epiklesis/

How does one know if the unseen energies are truly of God ? And not just the demons of the dionysian or elusinian mysteries?

There is no such thing as "person in Christ" Christ is a single divine & human person

The Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon (451) defined that Jesus Christ is a Divine Person (God) with both a human and Divine Nature…

@josephseppe4473 that's odd. The words "Divine Person" do not exist in the council a single time You should read it sometime

Jonathan, If “person in Christ” was said, it was honest misspeak. Forgive us… “Person of Christ”. Christ is one person. The God-Man. Sorry if that wasn’t made clear…
@jonathanhill273715 күн бұрын
@@saintmaximossociety I understand. This language of "person in Christ" is used to promote an errant 'personalism,' the Christ is only a divine person rather than what the Fathers say He is, a composite person who divine & human - a divine & human person
