Your "We" describes dumb people unable to think for themselves critically. Im happy not to belong to your group of nonsense-video-viewers that waste time and space by doing obsolete commentary on obsolete videos. Next time just comment something like: "I really wonder how so many people fall for charlatans like the person that made the video!" You would probably get substantial less likes for speaking that truth, lol.

This morning, 24/02/2024, I started mewing. I'm a 15-year-old boy with just recently turned, with a rather disadvantageous profile characterized by a nose with a hump and an underdeveloped jaw. My goal is to improve the appearance of my face, making it more masculine by widening my jawline and trying to alleviate the nasal hump. I already breathe quite often through my nose, but many times I find myself breathing through my mouth. My jaw isn't the worst and my tongue is never stuck to the roof of my mouth. I have decided to document my experience daily for a week, then weekly for a month, and finally monthly for one or two years. Day 1: I began mewing using the vacuum technique, creating an air vacuum inside my mouth that allows the tongue (back, middle, and tip) to touch the palate without excessive effort during the day. The tip of my tongue touches the entire palate, including slightly the incisors, and I believe I have started well. Sometimes I forget to maintain mewing, but I simply solved it by setting the background of my phone with the word "mewing". The only mistake I think I may be making could be due to holding too much vacuum-packed in my mouth, as the obstructed teeth barely come close, ending up biting the lips or tongue slightly. Day 2: I spent the first night with a blocked nose due to a slight cold, so I had to breathe through my mouth. Other than that, there's nothing new to report: I haven't had much difficulty maintaining the mewing, and I remember to do it regularly. Day 3: Nothing new. At night my nose no longer clogs up and I can maintain my mewing easily. Day 4: Everything is going well. I'm consistently keeping my entire tongue on the roof of my mouth whenever my mouth is inactive. However, I don't understand why sometimes my tongue moves forward and touches the incisors perfectly with its entire tip. As far as I know, in correct mewing, the tip of the tongue should only lightly touch the incisors. Nonetheless, as soon as I notice it, I correct the position. Furthermore, already from the 4th day I feel I am reacquiring this habit so much so that I maintain it without having to remind myself often. Day 5: Nothing new, I just think about setting reminders every fifteen minutes throughout the day to remind me to do the mewing. Even though it's become almost a habit, sometimes I forget, and the phone wallpaper isn't enough when I'm not using it. Day 6: Mewing is becoming almost a habit, except that sometimes my tongue, instead of detaching completely from the roof of my mouth, only partially detaches, advances or the tip twists. Other than that, everything is going well and when I notice that the tongue is not in the correct position, I correct it. 1 week: During this week, I embarked on my mewing journey, striving to enhance my facial features through proper tongue posture. Despite encountering initial challenges and occasional deviations in technique, I remained committed to consistent practice. As the week progressed, mewing gradually became ingrained into my daily routine, signaling promising strides towards my goal of facial improvement. Moving forward, I am determined to maintain this momentum and document my progress. 2 weeks: The more time passes, the less I find myself thinking about it and making fewer efforts during the day for mewing. However, there are cases, especially at night, where I occasionally fail to maintain the correct tongue position. At night I won't use any "caps" for my mouth otherwise I would look "strange". One aspect I neglected to mention earlier is that I have both upper and lower braces, which I'll soon replace with a retainer only. I'm not sure if this will affect my meowing progress, but it's something I'll find out about in the next few days. Furthermore, I have always had a posture that is not entirely correct, and I don't quite understand whether it is the mewing that will influence my posture or the opposite. However, I am also making an effort to correct these aspects. Despite these uncertainties, I remain committed to mewing and hope for continuous progress towards achieving my facial improvement goals. 3 weeks: During this week I had a bit of a fever and a cold, and my nose got blocked especially at night. I solved this problem by simply using nose drops. Also, I discovered that I made a mistake mentioned on the first day. I will try to explain as best I can both the error and the solution to it. My mistake (fortunately not serious) consisted of a sort of lateral openbite, that is, my tongue protruded slightly only on the lateral teeth (it never touched the front ones), thus leading to biting me and creating a space between the two arches. Obviously, it wasn't a lateral openbite, since as I already wrote, I followed and am finishing following the treatment to correct the position of my teeth with my dentist. To solve this problem, I simply created the RIGHT AMOUNT OF VACUUM that allows the arches to take the right mewing position without the sides of my tongue being bitten off. Following Mike Mew's advice to turn my throat into a vacuum cleaner creates too much vacuum in my mouth, which leads to this problem. This may be a subjective matter, as I believe my palate is still too narrow to accommodate my tongue. I will discuss this with my dentist. 1 month: One month has passed and I can say that I have learned the perfect position of my tongue inside my mouth. After 31 days, I no longer pay attention to it, and most of the time, my tongue naturally attaches to the palate. Probably now that I have finished the treatment with my dentist, it will be impossible for me to widen the palate since I wear a transparent upper bite (transparent upper appliance) every night to keep my teeth in their position. I asked if the palate could be further widened, but they told me that if this were done, spaces would start to form between the teeth, which could lead to complications and future problems. From now on, I will update every month for 1 to 2 years and evaluate the possibility of sharing my results online. 2 months: It's been two months and everything is going very well. I can easily maintain mewing. However, I still need to remind myself to stick my tongue to the palate because sometimes, when my mouth is at rest, the tongue doesn't automatically adhere to the palate. My brain has developed a sort of reminder that prompts me to stick the tongue when it's not in position. Nonetheless, there remains an issue: sometimes, as soon as I wake up in the morning, my brain remembers mewing and sticks the tongue to the palate, which means it detached during the night. This doesn't happen often, but before going to sleep, I always make sure to keep the tongue stuck to the palate and to sleep with my mouth closed. I have no idea how to solve this problem since I don't want to resort to methods like using tape on the mouth, which wouldn't solve the issue anyway. 3 months: Three months have passed, and I continue to practice mewing with increasing consistency. During the last month, I started exercising and noticed that I tend to breathe through my mouth, but I always try to maintain the correct mewing position even during physical activity. With the arrival of warmer weather, the days have become hotter, but so far I haven't encountered any additional difficulties in maintaining mewing, unlike others who struggle and tend to breathe through their mouth as the temperatures rise. Regarding mewing while sleeping, I notice a gradual improvement: I find myself interrupting the mewing while I sleep less and less. I remind everyone that you can ask any question, and I'll be available to answer.

Been mewing since I was 18, currently 26, I had extremely crowded teeth with barely any space in my palate to fit my tongue. I still remember the headaches from forcing my tongue into my palate and the blisters that used to form near my uvula. All I can say is it was well worth the initial pain. Over the past 8 years I’ve seen my breathing improve, allergy problems reduce by 90%, I no longer snore, my face and jaw changed completely, and although I did end up getting braces (with premolar extractions unfortunately) I’m certain the time I spent developing proper posture improved the trajectory of my orthodontic work by preventing recession of my mid face. Seeing the popularity of Mewing grow in recent years brings me joy as Dr.Mew and his Father’s work has truly changed my life and is finally being recognized by the masses, despite all of the ostracization you both have experienced among your peers. I'm 25 years old. I came across Dr. Mike's mewing video in 2018 and it clicked with me. I started mewing shortly after and have been so ever since. although in 2021 I was particularly consistent with mewing and chewing gum daily for 4-6 hours. My facial structure changed dramatically even though I always got compliments for how straight my teeth were even though I never had any sort of orthodontics done. recently met with a high school friend that I had not seen for almost 5 years and he accused me of having a Texas jawline surgery done; of course I took it as a compliment, most likely the best compliment I've ever had. All in all, Dr. Mike is onto something very true and we all should benefit from it. Never stop mewing.

I do it like this: first, relax your face, all the overworking muscles especially. Then focus your thought on the Ajna chakra, the place between your eyebrows and feel how the posterior 1/3 of the tongue lifts up. This is the most important thing and the most difficult. Then, if you feel there's still pressure in the masseter muscles on both sides, release the tension. You feel like the sides of the tongue are also completely lifted and the tongue is flat on the roof of the mouth, resting there. To keep this position is easy and pleasant. You feel your face becomes shorter, your tissues, muscles and skin are lifted. Finally you are doing it and it feels pleasant. And it can go on forever. 👍

Never seen you been SOOO straight foward on orthodontics, i'm 20 years and a dental technician, i studied orthodontics my self in school and always found this types of treatments less problem solving then what they appear to be, i would say it helps in the aspect of stopping people from bad occlusion, but orthodontics comes down with problems like tooth loss in some bad cases because of the stress applied on the roots, it comes down with costs sometimes absurdly high, and with efforts that aren't worth the deed once you know about MEWING, a NATURAL technique that wasn't extremely known but existed since thousands of years ago, something we evolved with, and it doesnt cost nothing, doesnt applies stress to your roots because the maxillas bones are the ones moving. Mewing is just better and i'm glad to you and your family mike for your work of truth and honesty and showing which his the healthy and right way.

@@Holdonasecuralreadytaken just so you know, you wont visibly see changes until 6 months or even 2 years of doing it constantly, even in your sleep. if you trouble with mouth breathing in your sleep, some people get a tiny piece of tape on their lips before they sleep. not taping it shut but putting it there so your brain doesnt open your mouth in your sleep. just keep doing it, look up proper mewing form/posture. and wait. thats all it is. since you're 15 you will definitely see changes. but this wont change you from ugly to beautiful. you still need genetics to play a hand.

@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji
@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji 3 ай бұрын
@@numberonedad hello, Im a dentist :) and face paralisis is caused by the facial nerve, which goes inside the buccinator muscle, which nothing has to do with mewing. Most of people that has bruxism could mew without knowing, and there is no correlation between bruxism and problems on the facial nerve, neither between mewing and paralisis. It could be probable that he has another illness, maybe something on the nerve itself or maybe some kind of tumor affecting the neurons in the path to move the muscles of the face. But putring your tongue on palate? It wont make you anything to your face nerve, its impossible (unless your dad has some kind of really weird anatomy malformation). If he really does have paralysis, he should be worried because it is no normal and it wasnt caused by the mewing, and if it did, he might have a malformation and he should take exams to discard it.

@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji
@SebaBuenoHaceMusiquitaJijiji 3 ай бұрын
@@mrtfff you need to go and get an adequate diagnosis, that crack sound isnt a good sound, we have what we call clicks and pops in the joint, they are bad enough. But a sound like crack or sand against sand? Isnt a good sign, go and get a diagnosis! Yes, it might have something to do with bruxism, and it wont be solved just by yourself, you might need a device made my a dentist to avoid that pressure. There are some positions of the muscles that those devices can guarantee where those muscles cant and wont be making a big amount of pressure. Spanish is my native language, btw, so dont expect a lack of mistakes in my grammar. First, try sleeping without any pillow in case you are, so you dont press your jaw between your neck and head. Dont sleep putting any pressure over your joint or jaw, dont sleep over any side of your face and never face down. If its hard, try with a pillow behind the knees, if you feel any weirdness in the posture on them. Hopefully you dont need that, but that will make harded also for you to sleep in any of both sides, because it will be harder with the knees like that. Go to any dentist with special knowledge and studies in TJM (Temporomandibular Joint Disease)

I would mouth breathe and my tongue would fall, so my face lengthened and “melted” and the angle between my throat and lower jaw was an obtuse angle and not an acute angle. I’ve had sinus issues my whole life so my face basically got screwed over from the start since nobody explained to me that mouth breathing is bad. I’m 19 now and have been mewing for over a year now, and it definitely has had an amazing effect on my face. Only a couple months in one of my friends made a completely unprompted comment about my jawline looking sharper and it stuck with me giving the motivation I needed to keep mewing as hard as possible.

@@kaywire6099 You should look into neti pots. You fill it up with boiled (but cooled to body temperature) water, mix salt into it, pour it into one nostril, and it flows through your sinuses and out the other nostril. Helps with allergies. PLEASE ensure you boil the water prior to using it, as simple tap water may have nasties inside of it. also ensure it cools to body temperature, as anything above or below this may irritate your sinuses. And finally, ensure the salt is for nasal irrigation, don't just use table salt, as the extra minerals in it may be irritating

Thank you for sharing your experience as someone who had highly likely grown into his facial structure when they started. I'll soon be 28 and want to do this deapite that I really like how I look but I do feel like my teeth are ever so slightly crowded, I have enough space but it seems barely, and I feel like this might improve my singing technique so I'm excited for that. Also the idea to straightened my nose and overall improve my health is very appealing. I have forward neck posture (maybe slight kyphosis but not sure) and a slight scoliosis and I feel like mewing will probably help these issues at least indirectly. I'm very excited. I was also never a sporty person but I'm convinced in the gealth benefits of exercise and want to build a routine of consistent at least mid-intensity cardio and strength exercise so I bet all the hormonal benefits of that will be benefitial to the mewing too.

I’m 39, 2 years ago I realised my chin was receding, it made no sense to me as I regularly exercise and stay in shape. After researching the subject I found this community and have been mewing ever since. Mewing 100% works even at my age, although progress has been slow, my face looks sharper and my eyes look more open. That said, it’s not an easy journey, I’ve cut the inside of my cheeks multiple times with all the “sucking” and I’ve been caught so many times pulling really strange faces in public, but it’s all been worth it. Thanks Mike for your all your efforts

Hi Dr. Mew! It's a pleasure to virtually meet you! Im 53 and first heard about mewing on Chalene Johnson's channel around the later part of summer of this year, 2023. So, its a real pleasure to get to hear about it from you!!! Due to my chronic asthma, I have been a mouth breather for most of my life. And as a result, every "before" picture and example you have, is me! In the short amount time of putting mewing into practice, I can already see the reshaping of my jaw line. I am approximately 30lbs overweight, yet my face is starting to look slimmer and more defined. I have less sag under my chin, and my nose actually seems to be reshaping (that's crazy!!!). I purchased mouthtape to help me keep my mouth closed at night while I sleep- (It works). Mewing is a REAL thing that yields REAL benefits and results! I thought it was too late for me. I didn't think it would work for me, but it does and it is!!! Thank you Dr. Mew! Im incredibly excited to be on this journey.

You're 53 and seeing results? I was under the impression that after 16 years old or so, the bones tend to stop moving and Mewing is less effective? Im 45 years old and unfortunately, I had multiple molars extracted when I was a kid to make room for my teeth in my crowded mouth. I now have the common downward, shallow jaw, recessed upper jaw, etc. I'd love to get more projection. I find it very difficult to get a good suction on the tongue - and especially hard to use the back 1/3 like Dr. Mew said to use... But - If results are still possible at my age and older, I'm going to definitely attempt to try!

Mewing saved my life when me and mother were trying relentlessly to find a cure to my chronic post nasal drip, which not only affected my ability to breathe but it quite literally prevented me from doing normal everyday activities "normally." During my IGCSE examinations I had to have a bag of plastic beside my table just so I could spit mucus out of my mouth every few minutes. Not only did I get to fix this problem for free, but I get to be handsome now which is a plus. Not to toot my horn but it's gotten to the point where my own family members are accusing me of getting plastic surgery lol and I get looks and stares everywhere I go now (hopefully for the right reasons) My best tip would be to only take advice from Doctors Mike Mew and John Mew themselves. God forbid anyone listen to those weirdo looksmaxxing theories based on pure pseudo intellectual horsecrap. Thank you to the Mew family for the invention of orthotropics. I wish you all mewers great success in your journeys' and I wish the mew family good health and prosperity so that they can continue to develop and innovate this science and continue to help many others improve their lives.

The section on body posture for me also shows the importance of developing a strong back core posterior chain and neck from a health perspective. You can try to focus on putting your shoulders back, but if your rear delts and traps are weak, the underlying cause hasn't been fixed. I do lots of very intense sets of rows, I train my neck (especially the anterior back of the neck, while the front of the neck matters more for beauty, good posture comes from the back of the neck muscles). I do romanian deadlifts to build hamstrings erectors and glutes, and L sits to strengthen abs All this means I don't even have to think about having good posture, it just comes naturally because the postural muscles are very strong. A strong core also helps massively with "belly breathing" because belly breathing is a natural part of the bracing process with lifting weights and necessary to protect your spine under heavy loads.
