Does the Xtool always lost steps like that? That's really terrible.

The XTool (my XTool D1) will lose steps when the speed is too fast. I run mine a little slower and the issue goes away. It's not only a great comparison between the two brands and models but the difference between specified speed and actual usable speed.

Great presentation. What is the third party compressor that you used?

Thanks! I used the Atomstack air pump that comes with the A20 Pro. It's a solid pump with a very vice variable speed control.

You dont need 100%power for engraving in ortur, you just need 30%

Thank you- if I understand correctly, when using greyscale engraving you recommend using 30% for the max and 0% for the min? I agree for passthrough engraving 100% is not needed.

@@thelaserchannel1 if you run a diode at 100% it will burn up much quicker unless properly cooled and i have yet to see one properly cooled from the factory. i started running at 80% max and havent lost a laser head since and i have a drawer full of burnt up ones from running at 100%

LM3 10W vs D1 Pro 20W quality difference would be interesting. Cutting with the 20W has the clear advantage but how does the accuracy compare with a device that’s 33% less expensive but more nimble. While cutting is important, as a hobbyist, after a certain thickness the utility diminishes.

@@bneil4059 I was noticing the difference between the 10 & 20 in laser spot diameter seemingly, inherent in each as well. I get the impression that they each have their niche or specialty. The 10 being finer detail and the 20 with more power and capacity.
