I've never listen to Country music before but after watching this interview I listened to his new album and I was surprise that I was listening the album till the last song of it. Wow I never knew country music is so relaxing and comporting! thank you for the great interview!

Before knowing anything about him, soon after finding his music as Orville Peck and the lyrics about once being in a band, I had a very strong feeling he was in punk before. That to say, when talking about how he thinks the ethos trickles into his solo work he is completely right. Often when an artist says something similar its patting themselves on the back or trying to portray an image, Orville is the real deal as a songwriter and performer. Hearing him talk about it and feeling like an outsider in an outsider genre and how he got to making his current stuff is amazing.

As a straight senior citizen male I'm so glad I've discovered Orville Peck. He's saving country western music from what it has degenerated into today! ( just in time) 😮 I pretty much don't care for most of today's country 😮 music

I used to like country music but growing up in Los Angeles a lot of friends thought it was lame or cringe, made me feel like ashamed, Orville Peck definitely changed that and is helping revitalize the genre

I love Orville, since Pony, I hope he comes to London and utilises good backing singers as filmed concerts online are great, I think backing singers not only help harmonies but add to the lonesome character on stage. I love where he is now, really looking forward to seeing him in the stratosphere

Well, the Dutch first started settling in South Africa in the 17th century, so it might well be possible!

nah there are white african families that go back hundreds of years, especially in south africa where it's more common

Yes. White people colonized south Africa a very long time ago, at least the first ones.
