Great instruction coming from this channel. Ive been fly fishing for 40 years self taught. And i always find something to improve. One thing though . As 5th gen montanian I've got so many memories of the smell of fresh trout in a frying pan with my dad. But tourist seem to look down on when i take trout .I am all for some catch and release. But i fish for food. And its what montana family's have done for generations. I don't overtake but its getting to the point where rivers ive fished for 60 years you can't take fish. The laws are being directed at the tourist industry and making money. I fish for food its a bit humiliating to be lectured in my home state when folks don't live remote like we do. Imagine going hunting and releasing game after you shoot it. Many montanians rely on putting fish and meat in the freezer for long harsh winters. Catch and release is fine but don't look down on those who still depend on it as a food supply.

Depend on, or just choose to eat from a known source, they can line up and bite me and you! someday people will look around and realize there is an entire world around them that is not about them... I hope... in the mean time, good on you!
