Some people get butt hurt over the silliest things. The majority of us get the incongruity of the time line of the videos. You keep doing what you're doing and the true fans will sit back and enjoy the content. We appreciate what you do. Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving to the entire crew at FSC Trucking.

As OTR trucker (and former KZbinr) Allie Knight used to always say, "Time Travel is complicated", and she was pretty strict about releasing videos in the order they were filmed, with a consistent delay (two-three days) between. Steve's editing delay is a bit longer, and makes it even more complicated by fast-tracking more important or timely videos, like this one, or his various collabs with Gentry & Sons, to coordinate with their video release schedule

Is a new hydraulic press better than your 1947 model? One thing is for sure, no one ever accidentally smashed their fingers to a pulp in a horrible industrial accident when they had to have both hands working a manual pump. Safety was built in.

The www audience demands transparency, and when they get it, the genuine article, they jump all over it. Because they're so used to the slick, rehearsed, perfect-every-time productions. Go figure.

As I sit here a week out of surgery to repair 3-4 tears in my rotator cuff, watching you guys manhandle that spring was painful. I once worked with an old school heavy equipment mechanic, like Chris. Learned a lot from him. Good video.
@jsh6952

My last 2 rotator cuff surgeries on the same shoulder were a 100% tear with a ruptured bicep. Had it fixed one time, healed up, did the physical therapy, fell on the same shoulder and retore and reruptured that shoulder, had it fixed yet again, healed and therapy. All in, my left arm was in a sling for a bit over 1 year.

I do agree ... content is content..I like the driving and delivery and pick-up side, along with chain downs, load and unloads, the in-cab commentary and all that, but the garage content with you and Chris is especially good. Fun to see how you guys address all the stuff that inevitably pops up when you're wrenching on old stuff. Thank you, Jen and Chris for everything you guys do.

In my early career is a machinist in the 70's I ran some lathes and mills that came off of WWII ships. They looked old then. Fast forward to the 2010's and there still running. That press brings back memories of a simpler time. Leaving the press as it is will retain its value and be a conversation piece for years to come.

And this is why there is so much down time before getting the truck on the road. So much speed bumps before you can get everything put back on. Parts place needs to not take the short cut, give the right part and everyone is happy, Stop giving the wrong one. That is cost and down time.. seem to see that with some parts store.. But I can't wait to see Orwell back on the road, and riding smoother with the new spring leafs.

Look at the new trucks 500000 miles and people are dumping these complient trucks . Your vintage trucks with half the repairs goes millons of miles . Love seeing the old press in use. I love old well made equipment like that. The parts situation sucks. The auto parts stores stand behind their product and replace bad parts but it is very frustrating to spend so much time and labor over a simple part that defective. Even worse when you have someone on the payroll and have loss of use for something that keeps everyone.paid.

Steve,what is it with people that don't understand that running a truck the miles you do will require a bit of love now and then. As you say,trucks break down,and if,like me,they could understand that repairs are a part of keeping the wheels a rollin! Take it as it is guys,you get to see the whole story with repair work to Orwell,and other than the bits that do wear out,how many new trucks are off the road cos the computer says no,and the techs laptop says I don't know!so days of watching a pair of really good guys doing cool stuff to keep Orwell running and earning is worth it. I watch the road trips as well as the shop stuff. I like seeing your countryside and those ribbons of road,and the sound Orwell makes when out in his environment,that is not possible if ya don't fix it! Keep it up Steve,and Chris,you're old school,a modern fitter wouldn't ok ow where to begin without a diagnostic socket! Keep em turnin and burnin! Derrick in the UK!

Patina is aesthetic, but rust is destructive. It might be worth your while, Steve, to strip off the last remnants of the original paint on the press and repaint it with RustOleum product or something similar to bind up the rust and protect the structural material...especially if it needs to hold up under extreme stresses generated by high pressure. Aesthetic improvement purely secondary but a useful side effect. Just throwing that out there for your consideration.
