I'm not surprised that most Japanese comedians seem to come from Osaka. They do seem to be more "outgoing" than most Japanese people. Even the Japanese You Tubers from Osaka have a great sense of humor...

my wife is from osaka, but all anime and learning books are not in osaka’s dialect, so it’s harder for me to figure out what she is telling to our kids/ her family sometimes. althought I found dialect cooler and shorter!

there really is a very big difference but i wonder is the comprehension that different between Japanese. is it simple for them or is it borderline a different language as it is often in the UK between Scottish, Irish, Geordie, scouse, broad Yorkshire, Cornish and southern etc?
@tomokotomoko

It's not boderline. We have many dialects in Japan. We can understand all of the dialects. But we can't speak all of them.

G'day Tomoko! After watching this, it sort of seems like that Osaka's dialect is sort of like Australia's dialect: shortened and minimalistic! With us, we like to shorten everything or simply just abreviate words! I must admit though, I was rather surprised when you mentioned 'two middle aged ladies'! 😂 I already knew that you're in your 50's (I would say early....my guess....😂) and that to learn that your friend is middle aged as well! Tell you what though: she looks as amazing as you do Tomoko for your age! However, I swear though, that you look much younger once again! That's all your 'Pretzel Queen' work though keeping you young!😂😂 Great video by the way!
