Your presentations never disappoint. This was a superb performance of a Monk classic, beautifully shot & edited (as always). Words are not enough to describe how enjoyable it is watching and listening to this sort of greatness. It is a wonderful gift for us to be able to sit in an easy chair and click with a mouse and be treated to this kind of musical ecstasy.

Ms Yanagihara continues to amaze. She drops right into a perfect groove, everyone locks in and takes off. Mr Miyano shows off his chops and Mr Kuge keeps the heartbeat. A swinging delight.

Always a pleasure to perform with Yuka, and you won't believe how much amazement you feel playing with her. Hope these videos could translate even a bit of the vibe, atmosphere and expressions of the ONLY live performance that happened that day. Glad you enjoyed it!

@@OsakaJazzChannel Your videos translate beautifully every nuance of your musical dialog. Yuka states, "follow me, boys, keep up". Miyano is thinking, "wait...I have to follow THAT??" Yuka and Mr. Kuge respond, "Don't worry, Yuu, we have your back. Later, we'll trade fours " Delightful musical dialog. Sorry for the American vernacular.

It's always interesting to hear someone else's interpretation of what they feel about the conversation we're having in music. There's no goal, but always exciting to play with someone with a different voice. Cheers from Osaka!

@@OsakaJazzChannel Only one song was performed that day? It was one of the best I have ever heard, absolutely fabulous. I appreciate that you are amazed when you have a chance to play these songs together. I can't say enough. Yuka is an incredible talent. Wish I had been in attendance.

@@OsakaJazzChannel It's not easy to find nice ties anymore. They are going out of fashion, unfortunately. So you'd better grab a few more while you still can!:) I remember there was a large department store in the JR station in Osaka. It had a fantastic food section downstairs. I accidentally touched the hand of the cashier while paying for my beer, and she pulled it away swiftly in embarrassment...Japan was very proper in '94. I hope it still is.

@paulparoma I've been in Osaka(Kansai area - including Kobe) for the past 10+ years and you won't believe how much has changed in such a short period of time. New department stores(buildings) and office buildings popping up like plants growing in a tropical country, IMO. Still a great country, but young people have different ways of looking at things since the internet has too much information and entertainment to offer. Feel like the Wabi-Sabi tradition is much less compared to the time period you visited Japan. Not to mention that this Channel is one of them too ironically, and I also feel both pros cons about it. Still going to plan that tie shopping spree though!

@@OsakaJazzChannel Everything changes, and not always for the better. It's very important that you keep the great jazz tradition alive by performing and posting the videos here. A real treat for everyone. I don't see how I'll ever make it back to Japan, but this gives me a window on the wonderful work you are doing. Always a pleasure!:)

@@OsakaJazzChannel I vote that we subscribers take up a collection for your ties, specifically. 😊 BTW, this was yet another fabulous performance. It's all the more impressive that you don't even actually rehearse. I would suppose that what we get to see and hear is as "fresh" and new to your ears as it is to ours. I'm just starting to understand how accomplished all of you really are.
Voila des musiciens qui vivent pleinement la musique qu'ils proposent. Un véritable régal pour les yeux et les oreilles. En un mot, Madame, Messieurs, chapeau bas. Bravo.
