Oscar this is not a throw back fight. Canelo won his first 154 lb against Ricky Hatton's little brother who came up from 140 to contend for the 154lb strap leap frogging the true top contendors of the division. He then went to lose 12 rounds to zero against Mayweather, got a gift decision against Lara, and now wont defend the 160lb belt against anyone in that division-sounds familiar. Khan knocked out by Breidis Prescott, struggled badly against Marco Maidana before he actually had some skills, Knocked out by Danny Garcia, and struggled against Chris Algieri and this is a great fight...damn.

I see what Oscar decided and that was to follow the business path and have Canelo vacate the belt in order to avoid taking areal beating vs GGG. Canelo is`nt a true 160 so oscar should`ve just said he`s not (canelo) a true middleweight so we`re not going to take that fight vs golovkin. I cant say I actually blame oscar for that however it`s time for the other 160`s to grow some balls and get in their with GGG, mainly Daniel Jacobs and give boxing a real fight.

This is an exfighter that now is a promoter and will say ANYTHING to sell Canelo vs Khan as the greatest fight ever, well we the real boxing fans don't believe it or buy it, Oscar needs to negotiate and sign the Golovkin vs Canelo fight because is the fight that boxing fans around the world want and are willing to pay per view and buy tickets, a multimillions of dollars fight that all of us want, so make the contracts sign them and SHOW us the Goldenboy really wants to make the best fights in boxing.
