Just started watching Moon Knight. Still haven't changed my mind that Oscar Isaac is the single greatest talent of his generation. I cannot detect any ego in his acting. There is no 'Oscar Isaac' in his characters the way there is 'RDJ' in Tony Stark or 'Anthony Hopkins' in Odin. He just becomes his characters so effortlessly and flawlessly.

@@tessa5233 yes!! I listen to the Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack on an extremely regular basis. I adore Fare Thee Well. That song is seared into my soul! My essence! On the second strum I literally yelped and jumped off my couch. He was playing Fare Thee Well and it was probably one of the most happily shocking moments in my life. I stood in front of the tv basically flailing like a nutcase. It’s one of my favorite, favorite movies and I only have one good friend who’s seen it (well two now… i forced another to watch it last year) and it’s super rare that I meet anyone who has seen it so to have this tv show Im obsessed with make an overt reference like that was truly so weirdly validating?

He’s kind of indiscreet at times about directors which I love for the inside scope

I first saw him in the tv short series, Show Me A Hero, and I was a fan ever since! I'm surprised that wasn't mentioned!

Drive, Blad Runner 2049, Half-Nelson, Blue Valentine, The Nice Guys, Place Beyond the Pines. It would be like Christmas came early.

I'm a huge gosling fan and would love this. But he seems like a dude that doesn't want to reflect on past roles and only talk about current roles. 🤷. Maybe not though!

If he doesn’t talk about stay, he is no longer one of my favorite actors

It’d be interesting to hear him talk about his roles in First Man, Notebook and La La Land as well!

I hope he works with Alex Garland again and again. Ex Machina and Annihilation are two of my favorite movies of all time, let alone of the last ten years. I feel like Garland is one of the only directors doing really confounding, artistic stuff on a mainstream level these days, god bless him.

Pretty sure every character he played was basically the same. “Had a great time filming blah blah blah met a lot of wonderful people blah blah blah and then my character died”

Show Me a Hero contains one of his greatest performances and the whole time I was watching this video I was looking forward to hearing his take on it. Missed opportunity to discuss that one with him

That feeling of wanting to get your ideas to people is so relatable. Most of my ideas are half-baked but sometimes I wish so bad you could just sit down with talented directors and writers and be like "roughly this" "now help me make it amazing."
