Oscar getting out of Alpine will be as good a decision as Lewis leaving McLaren for Mercedes.
@Oliverddd3 ай бұрын
Late to the party on that
@karmicselling42523 ай бұрын
Both the McLaren and the Mercedes F1 that Lewis won in had Mercedes engines so it wasn't as big a move as people make out ... the Alpine didn't. Oscar isn't going to win six WDC Titles at McLaren because the sport is different now. Although, being an Aussie F1 fan for many years, it is great to see Oscar doing so well. Such a pity that Daniel has left because there was a possiblity of three Australian drivers on the F1 starting grid in 2025. That would have really been something. Still, two Aussie drivers and one Kiwi is still pretty special for us here down under. 2025 is going to be huge. And with Sir Lewis in a Ferrari, F1 is going to explode. Cheers form the Land Down Under and see you all in Melbourne in March for Round 1 of the 2025 season.

Interesting observation. I can see it. Think its because both of them are very self aware- and put effort into coming across as a stable- determined and concrete in their delivery of things. Theyre both very straight cut- yet at the same time (while Verstappen and Senna for example- were and are the kind of driver that never lose the driving mentality. Theyre always in the car even when theyre not) Piastri and Lauda seemed, and seems to be able to disconnect from the car- and connect also with the people around them, in a way thats- well not as straight cut. More noncholant in a sense. They know, who and what they are. They didnt, and dont need to prove it out of the car too. They recognize that not all people are drivers I think. And are able to formulate responses that hit home even for those heckin' football fans

3:03 was lucky enough to go see Johnny Herbert do a talk about his career and F1 as a whole. During the audience Q&A someone asked him this and Johnny told about how Prof Sid Watkins advised that, as nasty as it might be, to just go ahead and do it. The logic being that if the driver was holding it in but then had a crash and something like shrapnel penetrated them and stabbed through their bladder the toxins from the urine would make things worse than if it wasn't there. So essentially go ahead and go to eliminate a potential hazard.
