The no. 1 thing that frustrates me about Ruto is that habit of saying things that have no relation to reality. That "police are independent" is a good example, but he says such untrue things practically every day. I remember one time he made that "police are independent" statement right when Kanini Kega was using the police to grab Jubilee Party from Uhuru Kenyatta and Jeremiah Kioni. The correct process is to go through the _Political Parties Disputes Tribunal_ and the Judiciary, and this process hadn't been concluded, so the police were being used to commit an _illegality_ i.e grabbing the party. So even a child could see plainly that the police were/are not independent! These constant misrepresentations of reality are very frustrating and makes me lose respect for Ruto, completely. Some of these lies are not even necessary. I really hope that we don't ever get a president with this sort of character deficiency again in the future.

Be honest and don't make it look like only Moi and Ruto were excess. We know how bad human rights record under Kibaki was. For example, Gitobu Imanyara was abducted and forced to 'face mount Kenya." Kibaki govt abducted and killed too including youths they dubbed Mungiki. Wikileaks cables even reveal plans by Lucy and then CS for Security Saitoti to kill Imanyara. Kibaki invaded a media house and destroyed equipmnt. How did he handle the Lamu and Mt. Elgon forces? How many young people did they kill? Ruto regime is proving to be a bad one, but please read our political history before making such weird clsims.
