Something that has always bothered me about this guy; he plays alto with the horn angled way off towards his left hand. Of course, Dave Sanborn also does this, but he has a legitimate reason in that he had polio when he was a kid and his left arm doesn't work 100% right. Nelson, being undeniably a Sanborn-influenced player, apparently thought that holding the sax that way somehow makes him sound like Sanborn. Oops!!

There is a reason why blowing across the mouth piece sets the Reed up quickly Lester young was the first to do it and many more sax players followed often players would find a Reed which is thinner on the left side that helps with better performance too Sanborne? Well I think nelson has his own sound and style listen to them back to back
