The Academy has awarded Best Director to Foreign Directors: Ang Lee, Alfanso Cuaron(he's won twice- last time was last year), Alejandro Inarritu, Guillermo del Toro, Milos Forman,, Bernado Bertolucci, Sam Mendes just to name a few. Bong Joon Ho has a very high chance of winning Best Director. Greta Gerwig not being nominated for Best Director is the biggest snub.

Good call on Parasite! We missed it, lol - but it's a deserving winner. We were split between 1917 and Joker. Cheers!
