I don't think there will ever be a trophy or whatever award could match all his achievements. Not even an Oscar. Man, I grew up watching all his movies in awe. He did all his stunts, He fell from rooftops, he got burned on a pool of burning coals, he broke his bones here and there. No tricks no computer effects whatsoever, and still a very humble man standing in front of us. True Legend 👍

Jackie Chan is worth more than an Oscar Award. His dedication to his work is what separates him from the rest, especially seeing his outtakes in his movies - he's cut from a different cloth. No matter the profession, he's one of the iconic figures who has been constantly at the top of the game for a long time. It will be sad when he's gone, but it might be fitting to create Jackie Chan Award for not only excellence is acting, but the way of approaching every job given.

IndianTelephone absolutely, his achievements in action movies were absolutely groundbreaking, no one could do that not before nor recent future , it's truly a shame we're sticking with shaky cams now, there're some good action films from time to time, but nothing like his work.

Classy and humble. On top of all that, never on the bad side of the law, never a sex tape, no rehab stories, no controversial recordings, and no scandals or shameful ways of gaining fame. You’re very lucky to find that in Hollywood and I applaud such a wonderful artist with the kind of work ethic and character that less should be observing, and more should be mimicking and doing what it takes to be someone worth idolizing and admiring. Congratulations Mr. Chan and thank you for the many years of both bone breaking and bar raising entertainment on the big screen.

In the movie domain they're the same level. But in the domain of martial arts, jackie chan is still too far behind bruce lee. Bruce lee is god

+Bob Thomas Jackie gets more props in my book, Jackie had to live and maintain his life achievements whereas Bruce unfortunately passed and left his as a legend. I admire Jackie because as he lives, he still does right by his life (mostly haha) and has created what very few of his peers could still maintain and achieve in his years. I don't doubt either that Jackie has done things even Bruce might question twice haha, for Chan to have broken out from this legend's shadow was an achievement itself and that is honestly quite an understatement. People will always recognise the break-through's but the most important part and often unnoticed are the maintenance of their status. For me, Jackie surpassed Bruce a long time ago.
@onwun42927 жыл бұрын
iTouchin I wouldn't deny that Jackie Chan is more successful than Bruce Lee in film industry, But different from Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee is a true martial artist, an expert of martial art, movie is just his way of expressing. And Jackie Chan is first of all an actor then a martial artist, he breaks his bones for the movie, in fact in the movies of Jackie Chan he doesn't use martial arts that much, they are action movie but not necessarily martial arts movie like those of Bruce Lee.
@iTouchin7 жыл бұрын
Bob Thomas Then I think you might be under the wrong impression of Chan, though I can appreciate the misunderstanding behind this. They both do action films, yes, but Chan has never claimed to be any legit martial art's practitioner. He's a devote follower of filmography, in interviews he always cites people such as Buster Keaton or Charlie Chaplin as his film icons and though he speaks fondly of the few interactions between him and Bruce, he's never tried to pass off that he has any great capacity in Martial Arts (though he's probably downplaying himself). Chan's a man of film and behind cameras he's a perfectionist, so much so that he's one of very few who has his own dedicated stunt teams. I was only speaking from the perspective of them as people, I admire Jackie much more. He's humble even after all his stardom and incredibly generous with a good standing moral background that's mostly untainted (illegitimate daughter and questionable political views haha) spanning his lifetime. He's definitely an example what most can call a great role model. One who i'd like to think even greater than Bruce.

James Dionisio or user from HK... aside from his achievement in the movie industry, you may be surprised HK people are offended by his political view, public speech and personal life in the last two decades. For Jackie Chan, he doesn't really give a damn about his image in HK since he now focus his career on the China market.
