Bad Barbara was so good! In an interview Colleen said the transition happened quickly, like Barbara became a literally changed woman overnight. And then it took on a life of its own!

When Barbra Ryan got burned in the fire & had the face scar & teamed up with James Stembeck for a while it was daytime soap at its best. She deserved the Emmy nomination for what was one of her best storylines over the 32 years. She was everything... The third best actress/character on the show in the 1980s. 5. Emma Snyder 4. Hillary Smith was either pregnant or had just returned from maternity leave. I think her maternity leave was written as Margo being away for work, which led to the whole Tom/Barbara affair.
