Have You Done Your Farmland Health Check-Up Yet? Learn how to assess the risks to your farm’s soil health and water quality by doing a Farmland Health Check-Up. Several key components are the focus of the check-up, including potential for erosion, compaction, nutrient and organic matter levels and pollinator health. An advisor can help you establish both baseline levels and future targets. The Check-Up is also a pre-requisite for farmers in the Lake Erie and St Clair watersheds seeking funding opportunities through LEADS, the Lake Erie Agriculture Demonstrating Sustainability program.
