If anyone is having trouble with getting their DX7/TX7 etc to work with synthmata then try the "Yamaha" mode that I'm currently testing on my test version of the site here: synthmata.github.io/volca-fm/ . Also ensure that MEMORY PROTECT is turned off on your synth and SYS INFO AVAIL is turned on.

Hey! I have been using the random patch generator for my DX7 for a couple years now and I love it. However, I just recently started using the editor to tweak the parameters over MIDI, and I noticed a bug that perhaps you aren't aware of: the mute checkboxes at the top of the page are inverted in regards to which operators in the synth they correspond to. clicking the "mute operator 1" checkbox actually mutes operator 6 on my DX7. all the parameter controls below it do correspond to the correct operators in the synth, so I've just started flipping the numbers for the checkboxes in my head, however I thought it was worth mentioning. Glad you're enjoying it. I think someone has mentioned that before, but I wasn't able to check it on account of not having a DX7! I seem to remember seeing a changelog for the ROM chips suggesting that the operators on/off had issues that were changed in different versions. Do you have an original DX7 (and do you happen to know if it's an early one?).

@@OscillatorSink it is a MKI but I don't know the date of production. it has a relatively high serial number though (139862) so my guess is it's not that early

+Eric Parisot do you mean the techniques? In which case, yes, absolutely! If you mean the editor then on the TX7 - it should, but I'm aware of some bugs, but I'm working on it; on the TX81Z - no, but keep an eye on the channel this weekend because I might be announcing something...

Any ideas on how to get this working on an iPad browser , don’t mind downloading another one ,tried chrome and safari ,no luck

Sadly all browsers on iOS are actually Safari at their heart - and that doesn't support WebMidi, so until apple choose to support it in safari you're out of luck on iOS. Chrome or Opera on Windows, Linux, macOS and Android all work though.
