Holy cow! I've been following Jerobeam Fenderson's music for a while now, and never expected to see him show up in a blender conference talk! This is incredibly cool stuff.

This isn't Jerobeam Fenderson (Kris) presenting this, it's his tech genius friend (Hansi) who did all the 3d stuff. If you look up "blender to oscilloscope" video on Jerobeam Fenderson's youtube channel you can see both of them working together at the end :)

pure genius.I used to say the one thing you couldn''t do with Blender is making music and now you can!!!!

6:28 "It's even more interesting when you double the frequency of one of the channels. You get this really cool effect" Aaaand the camera man decided we as an audience rather look at the side of Hansi's face -_-

I didn't realize OsciStudio could process Blender objects as they are being edited in Blender. That's awesome! Adds some motivation too, as I'm just now getting started watching Blender tutorials.

I could see this being a very cool way to brainstorm and create different synth sounds. really interesting :)

One day we will have true DAW capabilities in Blender! We just need Reaper style tracks and folders and Vst support. And, imagine audio nodes. Procedural audio patches. It is coming one day.

It is very good and nice ! However, I want to ask you, why you use the left channel for x-axis and right channel for y-axis. This produce the asymetrical audio signal, which intuitively is not corresponding to the picture on the CRT of oscilloscope. Then enjoyment is not so perfect. I thik, that better is using signal as professional visualisers, where the for x-axis is used signal -S (it's equal to (R-L)/2) and signal M for axis-y (it's equal to (L+R)/2). Left signal so deflects the beam diagonally from bottom right corner to the upper left corner and right signal diagonally from bottom left corner to the upper right corner. Excitation signals is needs adjust for it, but, how I think, enjoyment will be better. Thank you, very much.
