Ive had the pleasure of being ship wrecked Off the Island, dad had left the center board Keel down, we had lunch & then the clinkboards started creaking, dad looks startled, he tried to raise the keel, which was set in the table, then bang crack & the Blackwater started coming in, tide was going out!. Spent the night on top of the bunker, the rats kept nibbling at the biscuits, in the darkness dad manned the small brass bilge pump, I often wonder who fixed out boat, was a Dauntless boat. Love to be able to visit this old Island
