To us The Last Kingdom fans we love Osferth “Baby Monk” so much. His death was truly heartbreaking. But now it make sense because he needs to exit TLK to be able to do Aemond Targaryen. Yeahhh bravo Ewan Mitchell!

1:10 notice how he says "nephews" BEFORE looking over at them...shows show he knew they were there the whole time. Creeped me out the first time I saw it! This subtlety makes Ewan the fantastic actor that he is.

I was so pissed they dispatched his character like that in TLK without even giving him much to do in the last season overall. He is the natural son of Alfread the Great, in the name of Odin, he should have had a proper arc. However, now I feel compensated.

Osferth has a much larger role in the books, he is one of the main characters after all. He's also more serious. I'm so mad that the show reduced him to a side & comedic relief character.
