Case Scenario: On Thursday 7/8/2021, An employee was performing troubleshooting on the variable speed drive (VSD) on AH2 at Seal Beach Building 5 in the west mechanical yard for approximately 30 minutes. He reported he noticed the UV lights behind the VSD but ignored them since he was not looking directly into them. There is a light switch to turn the lights off, but he did not exercise that option. The UV lights are installed to destroy microbes such as mold, bacteria, fungi, viruses, etc. He did not notice any pain or discomfort until later that evening when he returned home. When he woke up the next day the pain was less but he felt better and came to work. Once he reported to work, he notified me on 7/9/2021 at 0730 of what had happened the day before and I recommend he go see the doctor as a precaution. His doctor recommended he not return to work until Monday 7/12/2021. Is it recordable? Is it DART?
