I doubt that either of them suspected Kindachi is their dad, maybe Aqua at some point but it seems like he already did DNA testing and ruled out being connected to him by blood. He is a guy who has been with that theatre troupe through everything though, so they both likely think he knows more about their parents than he's willing to tell. If he spent time in a children's home then either his parents didn't want him or they are dead so it's likely a really dark time in Lala Lai's history. Himekawa is also a bit older than Aqua having just turned 20 while he is 16. We know Ai was 15 when she got pregnant so how old is the dad if he also had a kid with somebody else earlier? It sounds like Ai could have been groomed by an older male in the industry at this point so maybe that's why Kindachi isn't willing to open up about this person he used to know as it hurts him to remember somebody he trusted as a friend doing stuff like that. If he's also killing women he has kids with for whatever reason maybe Kindachi also suspects something but can't touch him without evidence. The person who stabbed Ai was an obsessed fan, we know that much since episode 1 in the news report of her death and the person's suicide after he ran off feeling he'd made a mistake. The suspicion about the dad is that he was the only one who would have known the address of a condo she just bought because she disclosed it to him offering to let him meet his kids. So if he told this obsessed fan and drove him to kill her then maybe he could have handled a previous younger person in the industry the same way. The real questions are what are his motivations and what happened to make him like this, or is he just some ultra-talented psychopath who likes waiting for girls to reach the top of their fame and then killing them off.
