Oshies World - what a lovely tree! I had exactly the same thing with my lights: a couple of sets of warm white that I've had for years, and a new set I bought a few weeks ago, also warm white but a little different. The two shades actually look really pretty. So, no worries. ;) And Oshie is so cute when he gets all excited. He will never lose that puppy in him! I love his beautiful face when you guys give him cuddles, he goes all gooey, with a big soppy smile on his face. So adorable. And so wonderful to see a dog so happy and loved. I have so loved watching you guys this past year. You have been kind enough to share so much with us: your beautiful home in North Carolina, the move to an even lovelier home in California, your service to your country, your never ending love, kindness and generosity to your precious darling Oshie, and indeed each other, your extraordinary level of giving and support to animal welfare, and who can forget Oshie's gorgeous play dates with his little nephew Reagan - the cutest little fuzzbutt cuddle bear in the whole world!! But most of all, your sharing of your happy life with the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most beautiful Golden Retriever, who never fails to make me smile. These precious moments that you guys have been kind enough to share have helped more in this most traumatic of years for me than you could possibly imagine. God bless you. All I could think of as you were taking the tree out of the truck was "Don't pee on it Oshie! Don't pee on it!" lol. I'll admit watching this did make me sad a little bit because we lost our 10 year old Golden girl last month & you decorating the tree made me wish she was still here. But I did have a buddy to hold while watching this: it's a Golden Retriever Build-A-Bear stuffed dog that my Mom's co-workers got for her after Tessie died. I call her Tessie Jr. :) Anyway, to happier themes: that's a nice looking tree! I loved Oshie in his X-Mas light "collar." Festive! Merry Christmas to you and yours and have a Happy New Year! :)

Does Oshie know how to open Christmas Presents? We decided when our mastiff had his first Christmas that we would teach him to open presents. He was only 6 months old at the time and while he sort of got the idea and liked what was in the present he did not seem like he was overly enthused by it. A whole year went by and the next Christmas came along and we put up the tree and a couple of days before Christmas we put all the family gifts underneath the tree and did not think twice about it. That was until the next morning and we found every gift carefully opened and while the sweaters and socks and hats and mittens and board games and books were ignored after opening every dog toy and every cat toy had been well played with and/or eaten! For all the years he was with us, Padfoot was the always excited the minute presents went under the tree, although we learned that we could not put even one present under the tree until we were okay if he started opening gifts. And he was really good at helping everyone open tehir presents. He would actually pout if you opened a present and did not let him help!

Our first golden LOVED the Christmas Tree. She would sit and stare at the lights for hours. Unfortunately, I do not trust our current golden girl and goofy rescue boy from pulling the tree down on top of themselves, so no tree, lol

My sister loves watching Oshie. She had a Golden Lab from puppy until she had to put her down at the age of 12 because of Samantha's suffering. My Sister and I are very close and I loved that dog like no other. She doesn't have a computer yet so, she comes up to my place and we watch Oshie. (She's just 6 floors down from me). We laugh and sometimes she cries a bit but, it's still a must watch. This is a kind of special one for me since, Dec. 19th is my birthday.
