Sometimes I kinda feel guilty for enjoying my game when I know there are others who can't even get their game to start up. But if I'm honest, I've been playing this one legacy save I have ever since March when the pandemic started and I still play that same save every week. it has gotten me through all my unhappiest moments in 2020. Every time I read a book in 2020, I put the characters into that save along with homes and places that are as accurate as I could get to what was described in the book and I just had so much fun seeing the people from different books mix and mingle. I rotate through playing their households. Yes I do sometimes have glitches that I get annoyed with, like right now they start cooking 3 or 4 dishes without finishing any of them. But at the same time I'm genuinely having fun with my game and I don't know how I woulda gotten through this past year without it.

I won't say that I'm bored of TS4, it's just that I get overwhelmed with creating because I'm trying to make interesting townies to befriend and lots for them to visit and do things. I have loads of beautiful homes from the gallery that I would like to use to fill up empty lots in the game but even that is a process. I might just focus on one world at a time I play that way. The game is beautiful and I love how everything is so aesthetic, I just wish the game had its own lore and stories to tell.

I understand 100%! I used to get caught up in filling my world with townies and builds. Now I do it in sections. I make my sim I want to play with, I’ll play a little and jump out of game and place a couple community lots down. If I’m feeling more ambitious I’ll drop some townies in (I use townie dumps to fill in these blanks) and place them in homes. Then I’ll play more. Then gradually add to the worlds. I wish the game had its on lore too because it leaves it extremely open ended. It has its pros but it’s also a con because it leaves the player to create everything haha. Focusing on one world at a time helps tremendously because it can be quite overwhelming ! ❤️

I utilize a similar technique of the whole office/workspace in my Harvestowne save. I primarily use it for my sims in the semi-active careers. I create a club filled with everyone in my sims' career and set the office as the workspace so the appropriate co-workers will appear and my sims will teleport to their workplace. I also use Zurbo's turbocareer's mod in tandem with everything too. Also love the chill vibes of this vid!

I just choose to name my save Harvestowne b/c it's a pun between the name of one of my relative's hometown and the word Harvest as the town's centerpiece is this big farmhouse.

@@oshinsims the problem is everyone thinks that you can approach the sims 4 as you would one of the previous games. but this isn't the case and it never has been w the franchise? you can't play the sims 2 the exact same way you play the sims 3, and vice versa. even if the differences aren't QUITE so stark, why should that not be the case for the sims 4, too, then?

Rotational gameplay is so fun, 13 families is impressive! For outfits, I just dress sims like how I’ve seen in real life, and most importantly their personalities. Some sims I create wear the same jeans more than once (because I do that in real life too haha) - just personalize the! I also create additional outfits after playing with them so I don’t spend too much time in CAS when I first start. THANK YOU ☺️✨

I remember back in 2014 when it was about to launch, hearing a lot of removed features makes me uninterested, first started playing in 2017 after my brother got me the sims 4 for my birthday, and since I can’t play sims 3 on my computer anymore due the game lagging, I give it a shot. Since then (Still my guilty pleasure of mine) is my favorite, had quite an improvement since updates over the years, I’m now picking some packs that’s I’m most interested in and waiting to go on sales like on the bundle on origin since I used to buy a lot of packs back then without considering. Even when EA releases sims 5, I’ll still stick around with sims 4 since I got what I paid for and wait for paralives to come out.

I use Mount Komorebi as a setting for a rotational extended family save file where a lot of the characters know how to knit. For some reason all of them spontaneously start knitting in the hot springs during family trips to the Onsen. I tested it, and you cannot actually trigger a sim you are controlling to knit in the Hot Springs. I facepalm every time. "You're soaking the yarn! What the heck."

Love this sim and xureilia is right, your voice is so chill I love it! I have a sim called Wren, she moved in with Tina Tinker because Tina's GF was horrible to her and the babies were on the verge of CPS taking them!!! Wren has stopped working and her and the community have build Tina a new house and helping her raise her kids. Sorry NONE of my friends play sims 🤣

I didn’t have fun with the Sims 3 Base Game either lol. Also prior to becoming a GC I paid for everything up until Get Famous❤️ Packs enhance the game period, even if you only have expansions you’ll have fun. However I do agree - we need more added to the base game and an ultimate overhaul of the Sims 4 engine in general :)

Honestly, people are being too spoiled with all the new games and opportunities, that whenever something isn’t exactly what they want they get all mad. Like imagine for 100 years ago. They didn’t have any computers, electronics nor vehicles as advanced as they are today. Children played with stones and sticks and we are mad cuz we can’t do everything in a game. Children nowadays do not have the same imagination as the kids a 100 years ago because we always have something to do on our electronics. So the fact that we have to use a little bit of imagination to play the Sims 4, maybe isn’t as bad as some people make it sound. Besides, the graphics in the Sims 4, the animations and the programming is also a part of it. It most definitely took longer to make them in the Sims 4 compared to the Sims 1.
