So cool! I am only about 15-20 min southwest of KHHG. I fly out of KOKK. It’s cool to see how far you’ve come since you began your training. It’s helped keep pushing me. I take my written Monday, then have night and instrument training, then maybe a check ride. Solo XC flights are all done!

Dude, next time fly into 02C! We're 5 miles from Timmerman, great gas prices. Timmerman controllers are great, but you won't get the all around pilot-friendly experience we give! Feel free to DM me on Instagram, I'm curious where you stayed. Could give some insight for next year

Oshkosh is an experience unlike any other! My wife and I went for the first time in 2019. Unfortunately had to miss this year's event because of a 2 week trip out west. Already making plans for 2022! Perhaps we'll even get to see you there. 🙂

Ok, how about some details? What year is your 235? What did you cruise at for settings? How was your fuel consumption?

Hey Dave! It’s a 1972 - we went with 21MP/2300 RPM and got it leaned to about 13GPH. We love the JPI 800 engine monitor for leaning!

@@MidlifePilot ok great! I have a 69 235 and that’s almost exactly what I fly! Located in South Jersey, I don’t have a JPI but I do have a fuel flow, CHT and other nice equipment! My bucket list is to fly to Oshkosh some day soon! I’m a little beyond Midlife but I love it!

Fair question! Affordable short term hangar space (didn't want to risk a tiedown with unknown weather), and our AirBnB was on the northwest side of Milwaukee, about 45 minutes from Oshkosh. It was the only place I could find when we decided to make the trip.
