I was really expecting this video to be one of the clips I came across in a documentary trailer where he says "my efforts is to create the whole man" if the full playlist is the video and not audio I'll subscribe, specially if you have videos from his starting days with so much energy delivering the golden wisdom. Also curious which year was this ? I'm saying the references of this title from march 1981 as well.

Intellectuals compare themselves with those below them in order to maintain their self-worth, while the smart people compare themselves with those above them in order to maintain their aspirations. A wise man however, compares himself to no one....

I believe that, basically, his message here is:- Don't compare yourself with others. Whatever you are, simply be yourself. Be your true nature.
@purelove91333 жыл бұрын
Actually this is not true, his words and the meaning of the words is not important, it is secondary, the meditation you can get by feeling him, seeing him, being in harmony with him and existence, that is his message, and it's so beautiful, I barely listen to the words, just seeing Osho makes me immediately drown in meditation and contentment, his voice melts my heart, not his words
@WeAreAllOneNature3 жыл бұрын
@@purelove9133 My comment hasn't stopped you, or anyone else from doing the things you listed. Actually, my comment IS true. A month ago, Osho said in one of these videos that listening to his words is an aid to LEARNING how to meditate. He then said that once you have learnt how to meditate, you should then only meditate in SILENCE. In 1978, I was taught how to meditate by travelling Indians from the Transcendental Meditation Movement. So probably, like most people watching Osho, I don't need to zone out. Google 'pedantic meaning' and 'bigot meaning'.

OSHO TALKS: This Is Only a Device. [OSHO International] 18,25 minutes long. From 4,35 to 5,25. This device, or trick of listening to Osho's voice, to go into a state of meditation, is only for when you are trying to learn how to meditate. When you can meditate, then you must do it in silence.

He systematically destroyed religious hypocracy and that annoyed the people who followed one God theory. They hounded him. But he was far ahead of time and these convertion gang. Only those who have weak religion go for convertion out of fear. That is why Hindiusm gives so much room for thinkers and Gurus who can create their own path and yet they can be Hindus without being hounded.

I can see it all the time ar work. A person becomes a little manager and immediately their voice changes, their posture changes, their facial expression. ..everybody has to see from afar...the manager in walking. And people suddenly find them intelligent, skilled, even kind and even attractive..as soon as a kind of authority is given to them, suddenly people attribute to them super wonderful qualities, which were non-existent yesterday. Some people go even further- they slightly bow when say their name...eek. Osho is so right - it creates a division. Some functional division is OK in a practicalsense, but treating those in authority as if they are made from different materials...yes, it's ugly and stupid

I kind of agree with you mam on the last part that these Priests, Politicians and psychologists are of the same matter as us but we cant deny that we are conditioned and this conditioning is not helping the individual as well as well as the Species. I totally agree OSHO's world view is an imaginary utopia then again he says this is his meditation technique for the seekers and that one should hear the silence not the words.

He was a great intellectual and a great poet. We have to listen to the video until the end to understand the relevance of his point. Insightful in some ways. While it's true that the notion of charisma may be partly a matter of conditioning, my observation has been that some people are just naturally charismatic, and others are not. Whatever are Osho's denials, he himself is obviously charismatic, meaning that he has a compelling energy which draws a lot of people. He calls himself "ordinary", but how many ordinary people do you know who can command attention as he does? The fact is that many, many people cannot draw a crowd, nor compel others to pay serious attention. That energy to galvanize, to charm is lacking, and we can see the result in everyday living. As for presidents or ministers, not all of them are charismatic. True, people pay attention to them because of their position, but they just don't have any compelling charm or dynamism about them. For example, do you think that Joe Biden is charismatic? How about Tony Blair? Their leadership roles certainly have not conditioned many people to see them as charismatic, although they arguably have positive aspects. Nonsense.
