Because they only playing up the womanizer aspects of my daddy Shango. Shango and Oshun are alwats hot and heavy in the beginning but cannot make it together. Oya is is ultimate wife and partner in crime. Oba was not strong enough to deal with him. Oshun always feel some type of way about Shango. When they make a song about him being a charasmatic tactical diplomatic warrior and king then the song will blow up.

I'm in love w/ everything that this video shows. Everytime I listen to this song, I always think back of how I was weak when it came to guys and now. I have low self-esteem most time when it really comes to guys. I am so use to guys picking the girls who always put themselves out there without realizing that eventually i would end up doing the same, but right now actually listening to the song a million time I realize my life shouldn't be around the guys who are blind to see me, but the ones who actually will take time to get to know me which is me. I am in college now and I just in my bed crying up a storm while listening to this song constantly. I really need to put myself first. Thank you Oshun for allowing me to open up my eyes to see who I should alway be and already became.

Was anyone else amazed like me at their being 20 and writing like this? This is my favorite song on their mixtape bc at the time I just felt the whole world (well maybe just DC 😮 Lol) was full of effboys, and this describes what happens when a woman doesn't take the time to get to know Herself, know Her worth, know her POWER, nor apply the validation she seeks from emotionally-stunted childish manboys to Herself. The staring at ceiling, the cold emotionless gazes while being alone, listen, they delivered with this. Yes great Amn/Amnt, guide and protect these flowers as they grow and all women their music speaks to who are trying to rise to love. Amyen, ashe, tumi, so be it.

Dope vid. I am a son of Oshun and I have Shango's protection. I'm at the stage in life where Shango leaves Oba for Oshun. Watching this vid and knowing where I'm at in life confirms that I have to focus on self and not worry about love as I know that down the road there is a beautiful Black Goddess coming to me 😁.

Verse 1: Thandi] No pressure, you don’t have to love me Just give me some time, just make me feel lucky When you lay with me night And when the sun comes up to meet the light You say that you don’t care I’m big enough to handle it Just play in my hair and kiss me while the candles lit Your secrets safe with me and I won’t tell I don't mind if you hurt me it’s my own fault that I fell And I tell myself I need you, but you don’t feel the same And double standards taught me I should let you play the game But I’m not ashamed of playing the fool Just call me beautiful You tell me things like you'll leave her when we both know that’s not true And make promises of the things we both know you won’t do Boy it’s cool, I’ll crumble alone And you gone live your life and only fuck when in the zone And yeah you make me moan I put you on a throne; you won’t pick up your phone But baby you make me feel grown So I persist to give you everything you want Even though you kept it real with me and you been blunt Saying that we won’t be together and this is only lust And never equals never I’m on the same page as you There’s nothing that I can explain to you To show you why 00:00/04:18 10 10 JELEEL! 'DIVE IN!' Official Lyrics & Meaning | Verified [Chorus 1: Niambi] I just keep on giving I cannot keep living for you Got my mind spinning round You gon' let me drown But I’m sick of falling I wanna rise to love Rise to love Rise [Verse 2: Niambi] A weak woman goes where she is smiled at But I've never seen a smile quite like yours Said he loves me, he loves me not Well he’s not sure but he knows he wants me Yeah he said I’m making him hot hot hot And so I let him take my top off I don’t know thinking maybe things will pop off Or sparks from the physical signals to his mental for a certain type of spiritual relationship But, he just want the rhythm of my hips Placing seldom kisses upon my lips You know that quick fix satisfaction Bridging to nowhere, a fatal attraction Like whoa there, why did we go there so fast? We knew that purely matter never ever last Now morning glass outside looking in While your bragging bout my ass to your friends And I know this all begins with my issues with men That’s why [Chorus 2: Niambi] I keep on defending The fact that I’m depending on you I know it’s true that A weak woman goes where she is smiled at But I’ve never seen a smile quite like yours Whether you love me or love me not I’ll adore you forever more [Chorus 1:] And I’ll just keep on giving I cannot keep living for you Got my mind spinning round You gon' let me drown But I’m sick of falling I wanna rise to love Rise to love

that's just insane how i feel related to this and how it ellaborates a vision of the relationship between osun and sango on the yoruba itans. the negative (ibi) aspects of the daughters/sons of oshun when it comes to relationships are perfectly portraited on this song. Osun shows us the need of real self knowledge and love, so that we don't put ourselves in these situations.

I had a moment in February where I listened to this on repeat all night long and just sobbing. Must be grieving some past life because my experience isnt exactly like this and I avoid people that would use me in such a mannner like the plague. But even now, I start crying to this song. Or maybe I am grieving with everyone that has ever been through this, but no, it feels more personal for some reason. Anyways, I love you girls! You are blessings onto this world full of healing energy. To cry is to release. So cry away, ya'll! Also, where was this shot? The beach scenes that is. it looks soooo familiar! Mill Basin, Jamaica Bay?

Here i am again. 1 year later. Same pattern, different person. Yall, I thought i did better this time. I really did. I really did
@ksy47474 жыл бұрын
it's okay, Love. Just slowly but surely start pulling your focus inward and see what this pattern is trying to show you about you. It's never too late to change anything or to heal your wounds and traumas that are keeping you in self sabotaging loops. Think of people as mirrors of yourself. Everyone you encounter is trying to show you something, especially people that bring you pain. Where does it hurt and why and how can you heal it. You've got this!! You are in the right direction of change, keep following your internal guidance and spend time getting to know yourself more deeply and learn to love yourself. You are deserving of only the best. Treat yourself like you would treat the ones you love. And its okay to fall and stumble over and over again. Healing is not a straight line, its a spiral. you might encounter lessons over and over again, but if you learn from each one something, you ARE doing better each time. Sending you much love and strength.
