Troy Phillips maybe he is finally fed up. The guy has been trying to monetize this channel with no success. But on the other hand he did say that "there is not to much to say about beer anyway", so he sends these conflicting messages... I have been a subscriber for several years and I like what Chris does, but after so many years it is understandable if he doesn't see the point any longer. If he did decide to take some time off or nixing the whole thing (as he mentioned before) maybe a goodbye video would be nice for all of us who have been subscribers since the beginning. That's what the guys at Better Beer Authority did and it was a nice and classy move. I do hope all is well with Chris.

How many times is a dude expected to say "BIG, DANK, MANGO, PAPAYA, GRAPEFRUIT" before he and the audience gets bored of his schtick? That's not to say it's entirely his fault, though. If you're primarily reviewing IPAs these days, you're gonna end up finding out that a ton of them taste very similar to one another. Sure, you might be able to pull out a single distinct note off of different offerings, but the fact of the matter is the market is completely oversaturated at this point. Overlap is inevitable and only a select few will stand out among the masses. Hell...I love IPAs. They've been the majority of my beer consumption since 2013, but even I'm getting bored at this point. I don't fault Chris for wanting to step away for a bit.

Have you ever tried anything from Jackie O's Brewery in Athens Ohio? Or Columbus Brewery? I know you've done some of the Fat Head's from Ohio and things like that, and I think those two would be right up your alley. I live near Jackie O's (in WV) so I can get their barrel aged stouts regularly in shops here (for an arm and a leg but they're fantastic)

Not a bad offering, has that unique Quality and taste, sets it apart, great summer beer for sure, love the name too, agree with your rating, but can see that this one can get missed with all the great beer that is available, so in my opinion, overall above average beer

Tommy B do you REALLY care? This guy did beer reviews. That is it. Loved his stuff though. It was good while it lasted. I hope everything is fine with Chris, but really this was just a beer channel. Unfortunately the guy could not monetize this channel and I understand if he doesn’t see the point any longer. Regarding the goodbye or heads up video... IMHO it would have been nice, but we don’t know what is going through his mind. Just leave him alone and move on. There is plenty of good beer stuff out there. If he ever comes back, great, if not, I wish him all the best. Cheers!

Here's a conspiracy theory for everyone: Chris stopped doing beer reviews because he gained back basically all of the weight that he had previously lost. Wouldn't be surprised if Chris decided to cut beer out of his diet in order to get back to where he was before.
