THE FINALS - Season 3 Animations - Oskar Wetterbrandt

THE FINALS is the product of a large team of people. This video will highlight most of my contributions to season 3 of the project, but by no means is everything on display made solely by me. Thank you to all wonderful colleagues, you know who you are!
This video focuses on animations and technical setups I've worked on. To get some features working I've had a lot of help from specific people.
Fun fact: This is the first commercial project where I have acted audio designer for quite a few of my own animations!

These animations are so sleek. I love really goofy animations like the Lewis gun spin and my personal favourite being the ak reload where you throw a mag up and punch out the mag to catch it on the other side. I hope you make more of these cause I will be buying them

The dual blades animations are hands down my favorite in this game. Everything about them. That twirl, the deflecting, love it. Tho I think the best part of their animation has to be it's most simple, just how you hold them while running. Now if I could only get a reload animation for my guns that's you jus tossing the weapon an digitizing a new one, I'd be set.

Bro i got an idea Dual sword skin based on telekinesis Medium has his hand open and the weapon is floating in front of her, attacks & deflects are the swords by himself And btw more skins for gadgets

Probably not. The animations are authored for specific FoVs (different per item), and when the FoV is increased it quickly leads to clipping with the camera, you see through the characters shoulders etc.
