Whoever put this out thankyou sooooo much. I was there with my boyfriend!! He is captured dancing at time 12.53, he sadly took his life in 2006 but our son 31, his wife & myself love seeing him, its fantastic. My son is going to the revival one this year. Thank you again ❤️❤️

I was there, it was my 21st birthday. Only hardcore Hacienda crew were there.It was a proper odd night , no one really wanted to be shown on TV and swerved the cameras when they appeared.We watched the show go out live whilst we were still there and then everyone went bonkers.A load of us ended up in the bar at Manchester Airport departure lounge, the only place open at 6am on a Monday morning in those day...ACIIIIIIIIIID !!!

Thanks for this gem, 30 years on, this seminal TV show seemed cheesy to me at the time, because it happened at my local swimming pool - Victoria baths. The transformation was unbelievable. The now legendary Gerald Simpson and his family was already known within the Manchester Longsight and Moss Side West Indian community. I never knew how talented he was until I saw him dropping wicked acid beats on the spot with Roland TR series machines. Tony Wilson frolicking in the pool in rubber wear, pretending not to enjoy the occasional mention of 'acid' from his interviewees. On occasion the tall bloke Richard Creme could be spotted walking through Manchester city centre from some distance, an unmistakable figure back in the day. Never got into his Mens shop though, back in the early 80s when his shop opened he had a suspicious policy on the door.

Invitation only... Accepted, but even when I asked for a business card through the door window, the tall bloke just folded his arms, stared in defiance, didnt say a word, ignored me and carried on looking busy in the shop. It was a while before I felt comfortable even walking around St. Annes Square again.

I had the walkman version of that camcorder. He said don't get it wet but they were meant for filming in and about water, my walkman was water resistant
