Why didn't Dough mention the Election Plot in his review was the idea of an election in side your head or body to much for inside out to complete with. Do you think they could do a remake

One of my favorite parts is where Frank is in pain, and grabs a fried chicken drumstick and starts eating it. Relieved, he says something like "I think I just needed some sodium" lmaoo Great voice and review as always!

Lawrence Fishburne voiced Thrax like a badge of honor. Thrax is suave, but sinister; love his character design. His goal like you mentioned, is to be the deadliest virus in Medical book history. Thrax would use, abuse, manipulate, and kill any cell that stand in the way of his goals. His death was abundantly clear when Thrax mentioned killing " Frank's pretty, little girl". Also mentioning taking down " Frank's pretty little girl".His left hand stuck on the false eyelash as it falls; taking Thrax with it.

Time 2:40 I'm very surprised you didn't mention the classic Fantastic Voyage from 1966. I've even read the novelization which was written by Isaac Asimov.

I never saw this movie but I wished I had now. It was kind of experimental for it's time. I remember the Ozzie and Drix show too.

@@osmosisjones4912 Maybe. If it ever happens it will probably go to Netflix.

The one thing I detested most about "family" movies of he 1990s was the obsession with animal poop. It usually ended up in people's MOUTHS somehow. Regardless, I enjoyed Osmosis Jones quite a bit. I would also direct you to "Hemo the Magnificent" (1957) and "The Incredible, Indelible, Magical, Physical, Mystery Trip" (1973)

Well, that was not what I expected, if I was expecting anything. I'm sure I've heard the name Osmosis Jones before, but I never knew anything about it. It may have been the presence of Bill Murray that turned me off to it, because I don't really like him (which I feel bad about after seeing his interview with Elvis Mitchell on TCM, because he's really a smart guy who is very knowledgeable and respectful of his field). It does seem like I probably would not enjoy the live-action parts of the movie, but the animation and the allegorized rendition of the human body as a city looks hilarious. It's certainly true, though, that societies mimic organisms (sometimes organisms with poor mental health). I'm also now interested in seeing that movie about the kidney stone-- I used to get those painful critters all the time when I was in my 30s. :D Thanks again for another enlightening documentary, RNG. :)

Many people have compared this to the anime Cells at Work. Have you seen any of it? It's on Netflix and Crunchy Roll, if you haven't. It's all focused on the inner workings of the body. We never know the identity of the person who's body they are in, not even gender, age, or ethnicity. And of course, the platelets are adorable!
@RetroNerdGirl3 жыл бұрын
I have to check that out. Thanks for recommending this.😊

@@RetroNerdGirl Definitely see this anime if you are interested in this theme of movie/anime. I've seen various reviews of this anime by actual doctors and they all comment how accurate it is. Names and functions of cells are legit, but still a dynamic and interesting story and visual gags.
@lauraconnolly6632 жыл бұрын
You would love the anime ''cells at work'' Kind of like a Japanese take on Osmosis Jones. I'd KILL for a crossover between Cancer Cell and Thrax. Ozzy, Drix, Neutrophil 1146 and Red blood cell having to work together? Ahhh... One can dream. :D

I've seen what a zit. and Mrs. Boyd is every teacher I had in school, No wonder Frank has nightmares about her. The Anime "Cells at work" is very much like Osmosis Jones, Maybe it can be argued Inside Out, But that's emotions not cells. And Inside Out was inspired by the Disney Short Reason and Emotion (1943) Monkey Cages aren't like that, and the ones that are have a Distance farther than were Frank and Shane are. But they had to get Thrax in somehow, Maybe his name is short for Anthrax. But was it the Chimp, or the dirt on the ground that made him sick. Maybe Thrax was a Warning for COVID, They act the same way. I think many of the Animated Characters look like the live-action Counterparts And Tom Colonic looks like Ron Howard. Ozzy and Drix are eaten by a Mosquito, The Mosquito is swatted when it lands on Hector freeing our hero's And Ozzy is trying to Help Hector to not end up like Frank.

Personally i think the romance between leah and ozzie was rushed because she only liked him after he served the city wich is why i view her affection towards him as thankfullness rather then actual love. It whould be cool if they made her aroace
@RetroNerdGirl4 ай бұрын
Yeah, the romance wasn't really as good as it could have been. Maybe you suggestion could work in the story.
