Oso Oso 'Sore Thumb' Review: Emo Recognition And '90s Alt-Rock Revival

Thank you guys for reviewing this. Oso oso was one of those bands that grew on me. I am a little bit disappointed in sore thumb; I was hoping this LP would be more upbeat and polished, but instead it's kind of a step backwards IMO. That said, I still like some of the tracks and I'm listening to the album over and over so more may grow on me

edit: about 3 months (but really it only took a week or 2) later & have to say there is a SOLID album in Sore Thumb. Not every track demands a listen, but I'd say the tracks that DO hit on this are very good. Overall, a pretty good LP, but for most general play I would recommend the 3 or 4 best songs from Sore Thumb and leave the rest. One thing I did appreciate is that 10 of the 12 songs all have at least a section or 2 w/ SOMETHING really cool - a catchy riff, catchy vocal melody, etc. - even if each song in its entirety may not immediately grab you
