Funny enough I had a similar thing happen to me with a pet cat named Ellie. She was very skiddish and would run and hide the moment someone would enter the room but one day while sitting in my room with my sister Ellie had slowly come out from under the bed and I knew how she was scared of sudden movement so I slowly moved my hand over to her I didn’t try to pet her, or grab her, or even really get to close to her I just stuck my hand out to her. She slowly walked over to me as I remained as still as possible she sniffed my hand and rubbed against me, I then slowly began petting her I was the first person in my family she let pet her or hell even get near her and my dad walked into the room at that moment and saw as I was petting her. My sister finally started paying attention to what I was doing and realized that I was petting Ellie (my sister loves cats and would get hyper whenever we saw one) she then freaked out and tried to grab her but immediately Ellie ran back under the bed hiding from my sister. From that day forward Ellie became my cat as I was the first one she warmed up to and would let me pet her almost anytime I got near her. Apparently for the longest time though my sister thought Ellie was hers but our father quickly explained that was why Ellie was my cat. (Another thing to mention is my sister had a cat at the time named Pennywise like the clown, but we just called him Penny. He was hers because she raised him from a kitten.)

I've been making my way through the book off and on for awhile and, yeah, Tripitaka really is just insufferable. He's good at dispensing sutras and shaming people for eating meat, and literally NOTHING ELSE. When he isn't doing absolutely nothing, he's wandering off like a child - straight into danger, every goddamn time. And he never figures out that Pigsy is completely full of shit, which leads to endless drama. Seriously, I sympathize with Monkey SO MUCH. He and Sandy are the only ones on the quest with a lick of sense. Wrangling Tripitaka would be absolutely exhausting.

I think you trully captured the spirit of OSP animated. I took me a while to realise it's not made by OSP. That aside, the visual jokes were great, animation fit the dialog and good choice of scene .
