FYI, the reason why it has a quick disconnect in the middle is so you can remove the bladder without having to unroute/undo your tubing from the backpack. Good video overall!

I'm looking at this pack. At 1:13 in - this pack look like it still hits full contact on the back at top and bottom, so the mesh is only partially usable.
@VentureMTB2 жыл бұрын
The mesh creates space between your back and the pack to let air flow in between

Very nice and straightforward review. I was searching for Osprey Raptor 14 review, and I found this. Glad I did, because I can't find the Raptor in stock/deliverable anywhere. Are there any differences between the two anyway?
@VentureMTB4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I haven’t looked into the Raptor myself, but I’d imagine it’s just a slight difference in space. 14 to 12 is not much in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks for your review. How does it feel after 2 years of use? Can you fit a 13'' macbook inside? I want to use it as a daily commute pack (because of the nice mesh back design)
@VentureMTB3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think you can fit a 13” inch laptop in there. It’s pretty narrow. And it is holding up well, but I rarely use it becuz I ride with no bag or just a hip bag nowadays

Nice video! Covers the important things and it’s straight forward. Got 1 question: Any thought between Syncro 5 and Syncro 12? Actually I’m firstly just want a minimal bag that ventilates and carries a lot of water during summer days, cus even with 2 bottles it’s only a litter that’s far from enough. I don’t do long rides, most of my rides are within 4 hours, it seems the Syncro 5 is the straight answer, but I’m a little worried that 5 maybe too small? And you can’t use it as a plain bag in some other circumstances? Any thoughts? 😆
@VentureMTB4 жыл бұрын
Xucheng Lin thanks! I personally have never used and filled the hydration pack to the max, so the 12 carries a lot of water, but the big pockets provide the room I need for camera gear which when filled makes the bag pretty bulky. You can’t go wrong either way, but maybe if you got the 5, some longer rides u may want a single water bottle on the bike just in case. The 12 may just have too much empty space if your main concern is water storage, not water storage + tools + camera. Hope this helps!

@@VentureMTB Thanks for your reply! I think I'll go with the 5, because honestly I have to admit that most of the times I just go out for a ride with nothing but water... I mostly ride a gravel bike outside the city on roads, I don't even strap a saddle bag (even if I have a decent one) because I want to keep it simple and light. I think I have to restrain my greed with the extra space of 12 and go with the 5. Thanks your words really helps!

I appreciated your review, thanks. I own a Osprry Kestrel for hiking and Im very happy, but sine few years I most ride the mountains by mtb... with 4 to 8 hours trips , the most in allmountain style. I decided Syncro is my backpak, but I cannot understand if 12l would bring all I usually take (without hydration sack as I use the bottle). Can you explain if I could fill inside also fo0llowing items: knees and elbow protectors, warm wind jacket, long bibs and jersey (for bad wheater and/ or change) ? Of course I take with me th usual tools and foods for one day as you do... In official sie I see the main difference in volume from 12 to 20l is given by depth (4 cm) but as it can be reduced by the straps I probably should go with the 20... what is your opinion...how bulky was the 20l against the 12 ? Thanks alot
@VentureMTB4 жыл бұрын
I don’t have experience with the 20 but if you are planning on using the 12 without the hydration pack I think you could fit all that you want. It depends how big and bulky your knee and elbow pads as well as warm jacket are. If you think you will sometimes carry all that and use the hydration pack then I would say go with the 20, but if you are sure you can get away with just bottles than the 12 may be enough. Hope this helps!

@@VentureMTB I certainly hope so. I'm kinda small (5'3) so I hope I don't get a big pack. Anyway thanks and I've decided on getting either a 12L or a 20L of this version!
