Hey Chris! I just found your channel a couple days ago and am a huge fan!! I love the content and you are encouraging me to also start a KZbin channel! I am currently camping with the Talon 44 and love it! Glad I ahve those extra 11L so I can take this on longer bouts but I am intrigued by the 33L that I might need to hit up a store to check it out!

Hi Theodore, Glad the channel is helpful and encouraging! Yes, that's the best way is to try out at the store...I have not checked out the 44L...looks like a good size. Thanks for watching!

Nice backpack. I just ordered myself a red Talon 33 can't wait to get it. I will have room to put in all my winter gear, finally. I would have liked to see how the hydration bladder fits in and how the straw comes out though. I guess I,ll find out when my backpack gets ddelivered and I try it! ;)

I went on a hike with it. It's lighter than my previous 25L pack! I love it!

Great suggestions for what each feature could be used for, thank you! I loved how you showed the hiking pole system clearly! Quick question: Any suggestions of where to secure a canister of bear spray?
@basecampchris4 жыл бұрын
There are 2 rubber like gear loops on the both upper shoulder straps. Hang a carabiner on one of those and attach your bear canister to that so it is ready when needed.

Thank you for review. Great backpack and good size. Main department can fit quite a lot, however it is one department and no any other access to the bottom but to dig through the whole bag, some side zipper could be very useful. Everything else is great. 🤙🏻
@basecampchris4 жыл бұрын
Welcome, Yes...I always like a side access zipper on a top load pack....decent daypack. Thanks for watching.

2:52 "...top lid does not remove" I personally prefer it like this, because this way the lid always stays in place and doesn't shift around, like the one on the Bach Shield 35 (nuisance...). 4:03 "everything is a little smaller/thinner" I would have preferred the slightly wider straps/buckles as they are much easier to work than these narrow ones.

I’ve got one in lime green. It feels great on my back. I currently carry 32# in & on mine. That includes a Kazoo 2p & enough food & gear for a weekend hike trip In temps down to 32 degrees. 40 degrees & higher preferred though. Great video. Thanks for sharing ✌️🥾

How about snowshoe? Can it tight a snowshoe on?
@basecampchris4 жыл бұрын
May be a little small for a pair of snow shoes being a 33L...but with the right straps hang technique probably. I have a pair of Atlas snow shoes...I should give it a try..

@@basecampchris thank you for replying! because on a winter day trip you always using the snowshoes and the crampons alternative, sometimes when I using the crampons I have to hold my snowshoes, it's kind of inconvenience. yes! please show us how to do the right straps hang technique!! can wait for it

Those I believe they are my Wondoo hiking pants...not sure they still make them. I 've been wearing lately Wrangler Men's Outdoor Zip Cargo Pant...$21.92 at Walmart. they have a flexible material and are super comfortable...I bought 3 pairs...black, sage green and desert sand color.

Hi, what is size of backpack?
@AlexeyDnepr2 жыл бұрын
The shoulder straps are thinly padded. Do the shoulder straps put pressure on your shoulders if you carry more than 5 kg? What is the maximum weight that this backpack can comfortably carry?
@vaamorais4 жыл бұрын
Hey great review, very detailed. A bit off topic, what folding chair were you using? I guess it fits well in this backpack as well? Thanks for sharing and by the way, amazing landscape.

Does Osprey send you all these bags to review? Or are you sponsored by them? Reason I ask is you do a great job and I wonder if in the future you would do other bags that are more in the lighter weight category and a little higher end such as the stuff from Light AF or HMG etc. keep up the good job.
@basecampchris5 жыл бұрын

Love this pack for long days and light overnights, even took it across Europe. I was thinking of having a smaller bag like the Escapist 25, I seem to like it more than the Talon 22. Will you ever review the Escapist 25 Chris?
