Ospreys under the wings of forester

Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) are extremely rare birds in Poland.
Ornithologists, foresters and scientists joined forces to find out why. They also decided to create such conditions for the birds that ospreys would successfully build nests in Poland and raise their young. Everyone hopes that in a few years these beautiful birds will create a stable population in this part of Europe.

Oh boy, what an uplifting film! So informative about the osprey's life style and the different challenges it faces. And so cheering to observe all of the people dedicated to trying to improve its fortunes in Poland, and the cooperation with those from other countries doing the same. I believe we can all benefit when there is hope for the natural world, and this project is so wise to enlist the support of all of those who have an interest in this magnificent bird, (especially the fish farmers whose livelihood it may unintentionally threaten).
