In light of the recent announcement of the pixel 8 series getting 7 years of software updates, watching this review puts into perspective how a phone(atleast one that has the specs to last)from 7 years ago will perform relatively in todays standards, and i gotta say its better than most would think

I still using OnePlus 3 as my daily driver with custom android 11 OS with runs smooth and fast, with google cam mod it takes amazing photos only cons is the battery only 2hr of Screen on time.

Which version of Android did you show in the video? 9? I never realized until yesterday, that there was an official release already in 2019 😅 But almost everything kept working until now. Now i am looking for the best custom ROM, so far it looks like some 11 based rom will be the way to go. Do you know which one is the best? I am trying to get my phone ubtil 2026 at least and be 10 years old. Never had a cracked screen even tho it fell down so many times while running and never had a screen protector. Camera is still able to focus no problem. I am only worried about my banking app or something like that not working on a custom ROM. I havent tried yet, but i am looking forward for the pixel rom, as i probably will get a pixel phone afterwards, to install graphenOS for maximum security and lock out google haha.
